Vehicle Overview
The Compass, a compact crossover SUV, is related to the more popular Jeep Patriot, and both are scheduled to be replaced for 2017 by a new crossover.
The Compass comes with a choice of four-cylinder engines and front-wheel drive or two full-time four-wheel-drive systems. It competes with the Chevrolet Equinox, Honda CR-V, Subaru Forester, Toyota RAV4 and other small crossovers.
New for 2016
The Limited trim level is gone, leaving Sport and Latitude models. Bluetooth with hands-free calling and SiriusXM satellite radio with a one-year free subscription are now standard. A new Sport SE Package due in late 2015 includes steering-wheel audio controls, heated front seats, 18-inch aluminum wheels, roof rails and additional exterior details.
