"I'm in my 40s and owned many cars and trucks, this is my first brand new car and there is nothing bad I can find. In fact many little things still surprise me. I got the base 2x Laredo with a minor package (bight roof rails, keyless). Price: a lot for the money in the base model. Considered low mile used Edge but this was near the same price. Style: 2014 has new fascia- much nicer in my opinion, smaller HID lights, body color grill, real fog lights, body color mirrors and door handles. Interior: very nice, plastic trim but not terrible. soft vinyl dash and door cards. Simple well laid out controls. Electronics: the base stereo rocks. Deep bass, loud enough for 99% of folks. Was afraid of base radio but really shocked me- sounds fantastic. One strange thing- no disc! Will take USB thumb drive and has 1yr Sirius but still it was strange. Controls are easy and designed well- touch screen and/or button/dial. Touch screen setup of XM channel elimination, unlocking options, lighting options (times etc) and many more features. LOVE the large TFT dash display- tons of options and info but mainly speedo can be changed from analog to digital. Steering wheel controls for everything. Handling: NOT a Porsche, will push slightly in fast turns but that said I find it stays very flat and feels tight, it's a truck after all. Rides a bit stiff but I like that as opposed to soft and mushy like some others. Drivetrain: was AMAZED at how fast it is. The 6cyl has tons of power and torque at all speeds. 8spd trans works well BUT recommend turning off ECON button. With ECON shift points changed and bogs/sluggish to downshift and leaving light under light throttle will be in 8th gear by 30mph. ECON off and it's just right. As fast or faster than my brother's 60k Acura MDX sport. Can't imagine what the V8s are like. 6cyl has more than you'd ever need. General: totally keyless and done well, i.e. open door and all unlock (can be setup variety of ways). There are nice things like led lights in center armrest, the door handles and cup holders have soft glowing ring. Backs seats fold flat with one very easy handle. rear has usb ports and vent controls. Dual open armrest (shallow and deep). Much more than I expected in a base model. Reliability: My dealer has lifetime drivetrain. I may not have bought w/o that as this truck is Benz chassis, engine, transmission. My brother's AMG has 21k miles and had 8k worth of repairs. Too early to comment. It has a timing chain- not belt so even the major services should be fairly reasonable. All services are fluids and adjustments- no hard part replacements. I'd buy this again over almost all the competition- and it's by far the cheapest. Some are 20k more and I'd take the Jeep. You can easily spend ALOT for a GC but the base model Laredo is a very nice truck with long list of features. For the price I think nothing comes close."

"Bought 2014 Jeep Cherokee Overland month ago. Loved the way car drove. Electronic system went haywire. Dealership can't replace system. We were told they didn't know when the problem would be fixed but Chrysler was working on it. I've had jeep one week. Chrysler has had my Jeep three weeks. So disappointing. Paid for it and they can't tell me when ill get it back. They have given me a used car in the meantime to drive. Chrysler is still advertising the 2014 jeeps on tv. So confused as to why If there is a widespread issue with electronic system. I would not recommend this car until the 2014 issue is fixed."

"Traded inour 2011 Laredo X for a 2014 Limited this weekend. The 8 speed transmission is so smooth you hardly feel it shift. We loved our 2011, but this new one blows it away. The turning radius is better, the engine feels quicker and more powerful thanks to the upgraded transmission, and the tech gadgets have been nicely upgraded as well. BTW, @Eckworm the volume buttons are on the back of the steering wheel below the paddle shifters. You use your right index fingers to rock the volume up and down or change the input and your left index finger to change stations/tracks. They are a bit tough to find, but very intuitive once you get used to them."

"I recently picked up the 2014 Grand Cherokee 4x4 Limited with the Luxury II package (panorama sunroof, ventilated seats, LED/HID headlights etc.) with the V6 engine. Sure, it's not cheap, but this will be a family car that is around for a long time. It would be hard to list all of the features I'm impressed with, but the first thing that stuck out was how extremely quiet it is while driving! The ride is nice, the 8.4" user interface is outstanding, and little things like the standard heated stearing wheel, backup camera, rear sensors, rear heated seats, 8-speed transmission, sport, regular, and eco modes, paddle shifters, and the dual exhaust are ALL standard on the Limited models (and are of course also included in the Overland and Sumitt also). The only thing I wish was different is the addition of volume controls on the steering wheer, but other than that. I think this is an all-around AWESOME SUV (if you can't already tell)"

"Purchased a new Black 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit with the beautiful Grand Canyon interior. 5.7 V8 4x4. Love the 8-speed and the improved gas mileage (I owned a 2012 Overland Summit). The new technology features such as the 8.4" UConnect and 7" Driver display are awesome. Still based off the Mercedes M platform which provides an excellent driving experience with a combination of comfort, luxury, sport and still the ruggedness of a Jeep to handle all driving conditions. Let the road trips begin."

"I just got my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 4x4 last week. I have owned several suvs in the past (and usually only keep them a year or two), but this one is by far the best auto I have ever owned. It has all the comfort and safety features I could ever hope for or want. Thanks Jeep. This one gonna be in my garage for a long time."

"I purchased this car two weeks ago. It is the first four door car I ever owned. I bought the 8 cylinder and I am averaging 17 miles per gallon around town. I am impressed. It is very comfortable and easy to get in and out of. I LOVE this car and I am very happy with my purchase."
