"The feel of the Sportage is like that of a much more expensive car I've got an EX V6, and the newer version has better sound insulation. On a recent long highway trip I got 31.4 MPG and have since been geting 27 MPG combined city/highway driving, the lowest I've ever gotten was 22.8 for just city stop and go driving. For a small vehicle it's comfortable enough, I'm 6'2'' and close to 300 lbs, I can almost stretch my legs out completly and my sitting position is flat instead of twisted and contorted like what I get in most small cars and mini-vans (Chevy Astro for example). I spent thousands less for this car than I would have for a similar Toyota(Rav4) or Honda (CRV) both of which I find to be over priced and uncomfortable. I would recommend this car to anyone who wants a great vehicle without the prestige of certain nameplates."

"This is a great little suv for the money. It is small and maneuverable enough to fit into a small parking space, but large and comfortable enough to haul an active family and all their equiptment around town. And it is fun to drive. As far as performance, the V6 is powerful enough, I do not know what the 4 cylinder motor is like. The price and warrenty can not be beat. And both interior and exterior styling are great. As far as features, the Sportage is good, but not great. I would have liked to see power seats, and a gps system as an option. However, for what you pay for this vehicle, you really do get a lot for your money. It is loaded with standard safety features as well as plenty of amenities. I have not owned mine long enough to rate it for reliabiliy, but I do have a friend that has had one for a couple years, and says it's never had any problems. I would recomend it to anyone that wants to pay a great price on a great little suv. (please note that I own the EX model, so my review is based on an EX not an LX.)"
