This price range reflects the Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail value for all trim levels, but not necessarily all available options.
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail value represents the amount an auto dealer might ask for a specific vehicle; the actual sale price will vary. A vehicle's popularity, condition, warranty, color and local market conditions are factors involved in determining a final price. The retail value is not a trade-in or private party value.
The Suggested Retail value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. The Suggested Retail value also allows for advertising, sales commissions, insurance and other costs of doing business as a dealer. Most vehicles offered at this price have passed an inspection, and some may carry a warranty. Vehicle mileage is assumed to be normal or below normal.
"Took delivery yesterday of my '09 Sportage (traded '02 PT Cruiser with 93,000 miles). I've only put 100 miles on the KIA so far, but my experiences, impressions and expectations are positive. Car has tons of room, comfortable seats and driving position (I'm 6' 1"), excellent visibility -- still getting used to the "posts" between windshield and doors -- and is fun to drive. I don't put the pedal to the metal, so the acceleration rate is fine with me. I bought the 4-cylinder (w/auto), and 4x2 instead of 4x4. Despite high profile, it's easy getting in and out of seats. Car handles well in side winds. It's quiet inside. Ride is firm, even bumpy, over rough road at low speeds, but a dream at 65-plus on the Interstate. Bottom line: lots of car for the money. Good dealer experience. No-price haggling. Great warranty. Cool looking vehicle, and really glad I bought the Sportage."
