Vehicle Overview

The Land Rover LR4 SUV mixes off-road capability with on-road refinement and provides occupants with numerous luxury amenities. It seats up to seven and competes with the BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz M-Class and Lexus GX 460.

New for 2013

The biggest change for 2013 includes updates to the navigation system, which now allows for more user customization, USB stick uploads, and even off-road readouts like wheel articulation. A new Black Design package adds unique black painted wheels and other gloss black treatments to the exterior. On the inside, a new Extended Leather option adds fine leather upholstering to the doors, armrest and dashboard to name a few.

Exterior

The LR4's exterior design doesn't change much for 2013 except for the addition of new paint-color choices and wheel designs. Exterior features include:

  • Power front sunroof
  • Middle and rear glass roofs with sunshades
  • Front and rear fog lights
  • Optional heated windshield
  • Optional auto-leveling headlights
  • Standard glass roof
  • Optional Black Design trim package

Interior

Interior features include:

  • Five- and seven-seat configurations
  • Optional system that uses five cameras to show a complete view of the area around the SUV
  • Optional third-row bench folds into floor
  • Optional rear-seat entertainment system
  • Optional cargo net
  • Optional Extended Leather Package

Under the Hood

The LR4 has four-wheel drive. It features Land Rover's Terrain Response system, which tailors vehicle characteristics to accommodate driving conditions, whether you're on pavement, slogging through mud or in other situations. Mechanical features include:

  • 375-horsepower, direct-injection 5.0-liter V-8 with 375 pounds-feet of torque
  • Six-speed automatic transmission

Safety

Standard safety features include:

  • Antilock brakes
  • Side-impact airbags for the front seats
  • Side curtain airbags
  • Electronic stability system
  • Available tow-assist technology uses cameras to aid the driver
