Vehicle Overview

What it is: Lexus’ popular ES, a premium sedan that plays up luxury over sportiness, received a range of updates last year. The car received additional structural reinforcements to improve body stiffness and handling, Lexus says, while more dashboard insulation aimed to hush engine noise. The ES 350 is powered by a 3.5-liter V-6 engine while the hybrid ES 300h gets a gas-electric powertrain. Competitors include the Acura TLX and Buick LaCrosse.
New for 2017
The Lexus Safety System Plus is now standard. It includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and automatic high-beam headlights. The Remote Touch controller also adds a Back button.

  • Most exciting car I've owned,

The Lexus ES300h hybrid sedan is the perfect investment to acquire luxury and utilize your sound judgment. It's a spacious car for a family up to five that will provide a smooth ride and fewer trips to the gas station, which gives you more time to do the things you love with the people that you love!

  • typical Lexus quality

I came out of an Ultra-Luxury LS430, so the bar was set pretty high. While this car is no LS430, it is everything I need....safety, reliability, and good mileage were important to me. This car delivers it all, and at about 38MPG.

  • Most disappointed car that I have owned

We were looking for a good mileage, quiet car. This did for our need. We replaced a 2012 diesel Passat. The Lexus does not come close to the ride or comfort of the VW! Bring a hybrid, it is quiet, but we only get about 35 mph. Plus the navigation and media systems do not compare either.

  • Most comfortable car I?ve owned

Comfort on long motor trips was a prime consideration in purchasing this car and it has completely met that need. We?ve driven over 17,000 Miles in 12 months mostly on trips between Los Angeles and San Francisco. The mileage of this hybrid has been great also, not quite the 40 mpg advertised but a solid 36-37 mpg on the highway. My one quibble is the flimsy connectors on the fender attachments. The left front fender was dislodged by a just backing out of a driveway and running the left front tire off the sloping edge of the driveway. The fender is just too close to the ground and the connectors thin plastic pieces.

  • Comfort for all passengers in this amazing vehicle

Love the car... comfort, drive, and all unique details. But mostly, I love that it is a Hybrid and and environmentally friendly. We are having a carbon impact. We average 38 mpg.

  • This is my 4th Lexus/Toyota Hybrid

I cannot speak highly enough about the quality and reliability of Toyota/Lexus products. This is my 4th hybrid, and I have logged well over 400,000 miles with these four cars without (1) problem. I was going to purchase another Avalon Hybrid, but I decided to up it a notch and go with the Lexus equivalent (ES300h.) Although these cars are pretty much the same, you can feel the difference between the Avalon and ES. I would highly recommend this car, and I get 38+ miles per gallon to boot !!! (My best tankful so far was 43.7 miles per gallon.)

  • Lexus ES300H is a fine car

We love the ride, comfort, and economy of this car. The blind spot monitor, park assist and the cruise control are really nice. The only downside is the navigation system. We use our phone instead. The Lexus/Toyota navigation system is practically useless because it is just too hard to manipulate. They should incorporate Apple Play and call it a day.
