Cars.com National November 30, 2009Vehicle Overview
Lexus' flagship LS 460 full-size sedan is available in standard form and as a limousine-like long-wheelbase LS 460 L model that stretches nearly 203 inches from bumper to bumper — 5 inches more than the standard model. Both sizes are available with rear- or all-wheel drive. Competitors include the BMW 7 Series and Mercedes-Benz S-Class. An optional Advanced Parking Guidance System lets the car park itself and is the car's most intriguing feature.
A hybrid version of the LS 460 L sedan, dubbed LS 600h L, is covered separately in the Cars.com Research section.

Lexus adds active front headrests and Safety Connect, a new subscription telematics system, as standard. The available navigation system adds the new Lexus Enform concierge service. The LS also gets a round of styling tweaks and a new Sport Package for the rear-drive LS 460. The package includes lower front and rear spoilers, a firmer air suspension, a unique grille, sport front seats, Black/Saddle leather interior and paddle shifters. The exterior features of the Sport Package also are available as the Appearance Package.
