"BEST CAR for the value. Extremely well balanced car with a reliable track record. Well known as a JDM drift car. Some manual versions came with a limited slip differential. Very good fuel economy on the Inline 6 models and the 2JZGE engines are extremely well designed and performance oriented. Currently have over 250,000 miles on mine and it's still running strong. Try one and you'll never want to give it up. Happy Driving..."

"I love this car - it appeared in a dream & i found it next day as it just posted in ad from Colo. Superb cond. - only 35K mi. for a '95! Just a few small scars as it's a 16 yr. old car. I personally did much of the cosmetic work, then had window tinting, new tires, fluids & belts replaced. Lexus has a rep for top build quality & the SC's had the best build quality in the Lexus line. Originally a $50K car, for under $12K with all the above done. 'Am very grateful! It would be nice if mpg was better - not great for a 6-cyl. & requires higher grade gas. Better A/T gearing would have helped. Fortunately, i don't put high mileage on my cars these days. Very sure handling, very smooth, luxurious ride. The V8 version has a bit more punch, but i love the smoothness & reliability of a fine I-6. It will cruise all day at 80 mph without a burp. Dislikes: the extra weight of all the luxury components, worn-out trunk lid struts. Likes / Loves: Sleek styling (many consider the early SC's as the most beautiful Lexus' ever built), top build quality that u can feel, white pearl paint, good leather (with a little leather conditioner), great sound system w/ 7 speakers, a big smile to drive. - Many used ones have well over 100K on the odo. These are high-mileage cars & should last a very long time w/ decent care. - Highly recommended!"

"My mom has owned/driven Lexus for ~15 years now & told me once I owned one I would never own anything else. After purchasing a used SC300 I must agree... This car is a jewel. Excellent handling. Superb luxury. I purchased a newer model, but keep this one around because it's just too good to let go. If ever you find one with that's been well kept, I suggest you grab it. You cant go wrong."

Beauty, Performance, Reliability - Great Car!

"For the past seven years, I have owned the rare five-speed manual transmission version of this exceptional car, a combination which results in weight savings that improve handling, performance, and gas mileage over the automatic version (and particularly over the SC 400 V8). This is the most beautiful design ever produced by LEXUS ? but its beauty is more than skin deep. The car combines exceptional braking and handling with a very comfortable, compliant ride ? a true GT car, especially a pleasure on long journeys. It is absolutely reliable: nothing ever goes wrong, everything is built to the highest standards. The sound system ? particularly the premium Nakamichi with subwoofer and 12 cd changer in the trunk ? is truly exceptional. Caveats: trunk is modest in size, particularly given the size of the car; it is fine for two people who pack carefully, but this is a car that would have benefited from a fold-down rear seat back. The power steering is precise but typical over-assisted TOYOTA. The rear seat is comfortable, even for adults, but a bit claustrophobic for long journeys. The engine's torque is good but not exceptional at lower rpms (below 3000); if it is brisk acceleration and performance you want, keep the revs up in the 3500 to 5000 rpm range. Don't worry, this engine loves to run. I drive the car vigorously, and get 19 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the road. Summary: this is the equivalent of the highly regarded TOYOTA SUPRA in performance and handling (which should be no surprise since the SC 300 and the SUPRA share power trains, suspensions, and brakes ? and people have been known to bolt on the SUPRA turbocharger for an additional hundred horses), but a LEXUS in its luxurious interior, comfortable ride and beautiful design."
