New for 2013
There are no significant changes for 2013.
Exterior
The Navigator's most prominent design feature is its grille. It has an egg-crate appearance with a large horizontal bar running through the Lincoln logo. Flanking the grille are standard xenon high-intensity-discharge headlights. Exterior features include:

  • Standard capless fuel system
  • Standard rain-sensing wipers
  • Standard power liftgate
  • Standard power running boards
  • Standard 18-inch aluminum wheels; 20-inch chrome rims optional
  • Optional moonroof

Interior
The leather-upholstered heated-and-cooled front seats include power adjustments, and there are adjustable pedals to add to driver comfort. Wood accents are found throughout the cabin. Second-row captain's chairs are standard, but a split-bench seat can be substituted. There's a standard power-folding third-row seat.

The Navigator also comes standard with Ford's Sync voice-operated entertainment and information system and MyKey, which gives buyers the ability to set maximum speed and volume limits based on the key that's in use — handy for parents sharing the Navigator with a teen driver. Interior features include:

  • Seats seven or eight
  • Standard Sync voice-activated multimedia system
  • Standard heated second-row bucket seats
  • Standard satellite radio
  • Optional rear entertainment system with 8-inch screen

Under the Hood
The Navigator has standard V-8 power and is available with rear- or four-wheel drive. Mechanical features include:

  • 310-horsepower, 5.4-liter V-8 that makes 365 pounds-feet of torque
  • Six-speed automatic transmission
  • Runs on regular gas
  • 9,000-pound (RWD) or 8,700-pound (4WD) towing capacity when properly equipped

Safety
The standard electronic stability system includes trailer-sway control, which can detect if a trailer is out of control and apply the brakes or reduce engine power. Standard safety features include:

  • Antilock brakes
  • Electronic stability system with Roll Stability Control and trailer-sway control
  • Side-impact airbags for the front seats
  • Side curtain airbags for all three rows of seats
  • Front and rear parking sensors
  • Backup camera

Navigator L
Though similar in appearance to the regular Navigator, the long-wheelbase Navigator L is about 15 inches longer and provides 42.6 cubic feet of cargo space with all of the seats up — nearly 25 cubic feet more than the regular Navigator.

Like the Navigator, the Navigator L is powered by a 5.4-liter V-8 that drives a six-speed automatic transmission. Rear- and four-wheel-drive models are offered, but the Navigator L's towing capacity of 8,700 pounds for the rear-wheel-drive model and 8,500 pounds for four-wheel-drive versions are both slightly lower than the regular Navigator's.
