"I love my new car, I have not had the oportunity to drive it a long distance, so the mileage has suffered a bit but it is averaging 28 miles to the gallon anyway. It snowed this week and so far has performed great. I have not had any problem."

"MPG's are 36-38, excellent. Styling and ride are awesome. Center console is a bit low for me and wont move up, down, or forward to comply for comfort. Rear latch is very touchy, you have to close the hatch perfectly to get it to latch, too hard and it bounces, too easy and it bounces, sometimes i have to close it 5 or 6 times to get it to securely latch. Tires were not balanced when new, had to stop at a tire shop to adjust 2 wheel, they were close to half an ounce off each..now its smooth running at speed."

"I really wanted another Honda. I have owned one since 1980. My dealer had the CR-V and the Mazda CX5 side by side, and then I test drove both. Even though the Honda had better acceleration, the Mazda was so much quieter. I chose the Mazda because the back seats folded flat and the Honda didn't; the ride was quieter; the clearance was 2 inches higher; plus the interior color was lighter."

"People consider me fussy in the cars I buy or lease. Since my wife drives a 2010 Mazda Tribute AWD Grand Touring, when it came time for me to select a new car, I traded my Mercedes roadster in on a CX5 AWD Grand Touring after considering a Hyundai Santa Fe and the Kia Sportage. I was specific at the dealer, wanting a white one, Tech Package, all weather floor mats, roof rack, cargo cover, rear bumper guard, etc. They didn?t have one but found one in another state and sent a driver to get it for me after I gave them $100 deposit. The next day all the paperwork was completed and they filled it with gas, prepped the vehicle and I took delivery. I?m absolutely impressed with the Bluetooth and how it just sucked in my entire phone addresses and how I can make or receive calls while driving. The Tom Tom Nav system is inferior to my portable Magellan and is the only disappointment. I?m impressed in the seat comfort, three level heated seats, dual climate control, high intensity headlights and responsiveness of the vehicle. It?s beautiful to look at and very stylish with the 19? wheels and black outlining of the wheel openings, dual exhaust with chrome tips as well as the blind spot monitoring system. The availability of having the optional manual shifter is a great extra feature as is the folding 40/20/40 rear seats that are easy to operate. I believe the daytime running lights are a great safety feature as well. All in all, I paid a little too much but am completely satisfied."

"I bought the Sport model (the EconoBox version). Didn't overspend on extras that would've been nice but would've caused me to have to finance an extra $5K or more. EconoBox is terrific! The best MPG, safety, and performance in its class. Downside? Rear blindspots!!! This means I need to adjust my driving style to compensate. Buy one!"

"i have used nissan qashqai, toyota corolla verso and chevrolet captiva before switching over to mazda cx5 about 5 months ago, within the space of 5mths i have been back to the dealer x3 for different engine problem and with great impact on my job and each time they claim i have to pay for new insurance for a courtsey car even when the fault is manufacturer's fault. It is obvious this is a mistake that will haunt me for the time being until i am able to sell it off"

"I thought this would be the best new car. Sold a Honda Ridgeline for it. Miss the Honda muchly. The thing that really bothers me are the cup holders. They don't work. This doesn't seem that significant unless you consider that if they can't get that engineered right , what else did they get wrong? So the backup camera is great. The Ipod interface never works right, always skips to the middle of something, and never remembers your place. acceleration is pathetic unless you stomp on the gas, ruining your MPG. Seats fold flat but leave a lip across that back so items don't slide in, you have to lift the item up over the lip to get it in. If I could do it over, I would have gotten the Rav or CRV( and don't think I didn't look at the Escape and the Impreza). Good hunting."

"I have never had a "new" vehicle before. My husband and I had been talking about getting an SUV and ditching my old truck. The gas mileage was 11 mpg at best with over 180,000 miles on it. Honestly, the transmission was a ticking time bomb. (great reliable truck though, never any major problems with it as it was properly maintained. If you are looking for a truck, I highly recommend). Anyways, we had looked into SUV's, and I am not a materialistic person, but when we did online research, I loved how this SUV looked! I wanted the light blue, but the dealer only had white and the dark blue. No biggie. The dark was nice. I test drove it and fell even more in love! it handled nicely, even though I was so nervous about test driving. It had the bose system and sun roof, which I really never planned on getting but hey, it was there and I was so excited about the sun roof! So some how we wound up buying it ;) and have been totally happy with our decision. it has fantastic gas mileage, and we love being able to make phone calls via bluetooth! it also has a lot of space for cargo and passengers, more than what you would think by looking at the outside. So if you are looking for a stylish SUV with great gas mileage, look no further! :)"
