"Traded in 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander SE I love my new Mazda. It handles great has so much more power and better gas milage. I loved how great the Outlander was in snow and ice but we do not have that much in Indianapolis so I am sure the CX5 will do fine. I have a friend who has 2013 CX5 and said it did fine. The USB port actually works in the CX5 unlike Mitsu's which was useless Back seat is not as roomy but I am single and usually just me in the car so it is fine"

"First car I bought brand new. Supposed to get the Mazda 5 but when I saw the CX-5 in the dealership, I quickly test drove it and fell in love with it. I didn't mind the waiting time of 2 days until my Liquid Silver Metallic 2014 CX-5 Sport arrived. Only had 3 miles in it! A bit bumpy ride but I love you can shift from Automatic to Manual if you need more speed. Love the mean-looking front face of it. Simple controls. Good interior space. Excellent mileage (now at 29.2 mpg) Love this car."

"Best gas mileage, quietest ride, best handling. The CX-5 is the best CUV that we tested. We looked at the Sante Fe, the Tucson, RAV4, CR-V and the Sportage. The 35 mpg on the hwy is the best in its class. We actually get 36 mpg on the interstate in Florida with cruise control. Really quiet cabin and handles like a car, doesn't feel top heavy like the Escape and Tucson."

"Have had my 2014 CX-5 GT for about three weeks. The ONLY thing I can find to complain about is that you have to lift your legs a bit higher to get in and out of the car without scuffing the edge of the car. I found the CR-V and RAV-4 to be so much bigger than my 2004 RAV-4, and I really didn't need anything that big. Plus, their styling has gone to the bow-wows. Driving this car is heaven--very responsive, quick when it needs to be, and a most comfortable ride. I honestly don't know what more you could ask of a car and not spend $50,000. Do wish they offered a few more colors..."

Best small CUV on the market

"I checked Ford, Chev, Honda, and Toyota before selecting a CX-5 GT. It is the best made, most comfortable CUV I drove. Would I change anything? Of course - - I would increase the size of the door pockets, move the center arm rest forward or make it movable and would update the factory installed GPS. My GT averages 28 MPG in city driving and 36 M{G Hway. The cabin is the quietest of all those I drove. The ride is smooth. The vehicle is well built and overall reliability is reported to be above normal but a top rateing service. I am completely pleased with my choice."

"Just got a 2014 CX-5 Grand Touring. An amazing vehicle, very competent on the road, great visibility, comfortable, with a stellar complement of options. No disappointment in this vehicle at all. Mazda is certainly on the rise with this vehicle and the new 6."

"In retrospect I wish I would have looked at some other cars and gone over this one more closely. I probably could have gotten a better deal form another dealer, but they are pretty popular now. The mileage is pretty good and driving by myself is fine, but if you have adults with you in the backseat it is awkward for them to get in and out. I wish Mazda would have taken away a little bit of the cargo area to make the back seat area better. Some of the interior plastics feel a little cheap too. Maybe it helps make the car lighter to get the better gas mileage."
