"I have had 3rd gear out in this transmission for over 100,000 and have had no trouble with the clutch due to this problem. The car now has 237,000 miles on it and gets 425-450 miles to a tank. The car sat parked as my extra car for seven years and then fired the first time when I went to start it. As a single mom, whose not a mechanic this is the kind of car you want to own."

"The Mazda MX-3 is a 2 door sporty car with lots of pep in the engine. I've owned it for over 10 years and it never let me down. Highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a car with style and performance"

"I bought the car used and it was in decent condition. But once it started to fall apart, it was no joke. Parts for the car are very expencive and the engine is so fragile after a long time that the person trying to buy this car better have enough money for what might end up being a complete engine overhaul. Parts are expencive and often hard to find since the car is a limited edition model. If you're doing repairs yourself, pray that you know what you're doing. Im not going to lie though. If you enjoy great acceleration and pin-point handeling, by all means I cant tell you a better choice besides the RX-8 or maybe a Celica. For a tuner, the MX-3 will give you great results since it has high potential to be a great racer. With a little work it'll run and look great. Over all, I'd recomend it to someone with enough money to replace a water pump one month and a caliper the next. But to someone buying there first car or learning to drive a stick (like me) I would recomend either another Mazda or a Toyota or something. CHoose wisley."
