"I've owned a 1998 ml-320 since 2001. I replaced the transmission at 150k. It now has 245k. . They went to a 7 speed transmission and that created a lot of problems. All the gadgets that mine does'nt have create many problems also. You can work on mine yourself with a code reader. Newer ones are more complex. I paid 29k for it in 2001 so I've got my money out of it. Mercedes were good many years ago when they were made in Germany. Will probably buy a nissan quest next."

"I bought an 07 used four months ago and still love it. Comfortable, stylish, strong and fast. It's like a SUV sportscar and eats up the highway miles. Took a trip up to Montreal and my wife slept like a baby all the way up. Great car and still in love with it."

"Low mileage is all you need to look for when buying a Mercedes ML350. They run forever without any problems! Keep up with regular oil changes and typical maintenance, and it doesn't have to be at a Mercedes dealership! Car-X does a GREAT job as well, for 1/2 the price, which is very affordable."

"I've owned 5 ML350's and have NEVER had a problem with any of them! I change the oil every 10,000 miles, as recommended by Mercedes, have a tune up every year (not necessarily at a Mercedes dealership), and all my ML350's have run perfectly! I would NEVER buy anything else, and neither would any other Mercees owners I talk to."

"Ride, handling and performance are as good as it gets. Great looking SUV too. Comfort with premium seats with lumbar control allows for all day driving without aches or pains. Gas mileage isn't great but it is the trade off you make for all the great things this car provides. I average 15 or so around town, 20 on the highway at 70 mph."

"Love, love , love this car! Am buying another one. Love it on the road, long road trips of 8-10 hrs in car are incredibly comfy, sporty, zippy fast and smooth. with all of the bells and whistles. Never a problem with it, can't wait to get my next one and the one after that. Best car and most enjoyable car I have ever had. LOVE IT! My first Merceds and now I am converted to being a forever ML350 owner."

"Bought this car as a preowned in mint condition yet have constant problems . Power steering pumps and hoses, ball joints, tie rods, A/C fans and controls, car sounds like a 747 at idle, transmission slips, steering column bushings replaced 3 times gone again, navigation difficult to use so you don't,bulbs and headlights constantly burn out, powertailgate sticks, etc. Totally unacceptable for Mercedes to put out a car like this. Now out of warrenty, expect to spend a couple of thousand every few months. When you go to repair shop everyone familiar with issues and Mercedes doesn't seem to address.I had a 1999 with same issues and thought they would fix after 10 years.Crazy me!"

"Car kept stalling out at red lights. Got it fixed after 4visits to the dealer. Power steering resevoir leaked. It took two visits to the dealer to fix it. The right rear strut leaked at about 50,000 mil. got it fixed at a local shop. Transmission is balky at times at 62,000 mil. drivers seat leatherette is cracking. Right rear brake lamp went out. I replaced the bulb but it still will not work. Drivers side rear view mirror control stopped working at about 59,000 mil."
