"The w140 s is a great car and a great value. Available in several trim levels with both a six cylinder and V8 motors. The slab side s class is one of the prettiest and classiest looking s classes according to many including this writer. This is the last of the over engineered sedans with many great options for both comfort and safety. These cars are dependable, quiet, safe, and perform well for their size and weight. Sure acceleration, precise braking, and all the usual interior appopintments one would expect to find in the big Euro sedans."

"i absolutely love this car. i bought it used while it needed to be repaired, and although there was a lot to maintain, it's a greeat car. EXTREMELY spacious. passengers always comment on how much room there is in the back seat. it has great features like memory seats, heated seats, locking glove box, back mirrors w/ lights, back ash trays, everything. its the classiest car iv ever driven nothing can really compare its even real leather. the acceleration is very good especially comparitive to its size! its verrry big but easy to get used to and so easy to dirve. my favorite its that the steering wheel is effortless to turn litterally i can do it with a pinky. the downsides: not very good on gas at all, on average 17 mpg. premium gas only 93 octane!! huuuge gas tank (25 gallons) so it cost alot to fill but it last w hile. overall i would get this car over any other. we have to get rid of mine cause theres too many miles and i just cant even think about getting another car that comes close to the eliteness of this car"

"Bought the S500 used with 75,000 miles 6 months ago knowing that it needed a few minor items repaired which have since been completed. The car is a joy and entitled to all the respect and admiration usually attributed to it. You know - going in - that it's an expensive automobile to maintain, but with appropriate maintenance it will amortize itself nicely. Consider that I like the car and that I'm biased but I thoroughly enjoy getting into the car and driving it. It's all there - comfort - reliablity - respect. One final consideration - value - I'm into this car about $20,000.00 - a far cry from the $100,000.00 you're looking at for a new one. My $80,000.00 is out there in the market working for me!!"
