"My third vr4 and this is the best year with all kinds of gadgets. The car is a blast to drive specially in rain and snow due to all wheel drive and awesome suspension. Love this car"

"I owned this car for several years. It was the greatest thing I ever drove. The all wheel drive, and all wheel steering this car to turn corners at 45 mph without going out of control. It was a getaway car that no police car could catch in the city. On the open road it would do 145 mph. I cruised at 110 mph all day long without overheating. The gadgets stop working on this car. Lots of repairs. The wing tilts, and the front air fairing lowers when put into the performance mode. The engine has to be partialy unbolted from the frame to change the rear spark plug. The German Getrag manual racing transmission is not repairable. Getrag, who makes trans for Mercedes, and BMW, and other high performance cars, sells no parts for its transmissions. You have to trade it in on a new one for about 8 grand, and add another 2 grand for the big 120,000 mile tune up. It is like a fine sports car. It takes big bucks to restore one. You have to disassemble hours worth of parts to do most engine repairs. It was labeled the Lead Porsche because it is a very heavy vehicle. The heavy weight makes it very stable a very high speeds. The all wheel drive makes the car very stable at 90 mph in driving rain, but the wiper system is only goo't d for 75 mph. You can't drive this wildly in heavy traffic because the rear visibility is poor and you are afraid to cut in at high speeds because your not quite sure if anything is there, but the drive is impressive. The six cyclinder twin turbocharged engine is fantastic, even though todays cars way surpass its horsepower. So if your a great mechanic with spare vehicles for parts, or fairly rich, this is a great car, but I almost went bancrupt when I blew a gear, and brought it in to be fixed. I had to sell it to pay for the repairs!"
