"I bought my car in 2004 and I fell in love with it. It is reliable. Actually not too bad in snow. It helps to have good tires and knowing how to handle a vehicle in bad weather. Some things about it need to be improved. My car didn't come with many features! No keyless entry, glove compartment light, trunk light. Not too many extra things that are nice to have. Pretty simple interior. Also I only had the car for less than a year and it started to rust on the driver side. Not good for a lot of passengers or carseats. Space in the backseat is very limited. Easy to bump head on rear window when sitting in back. Trunk won't open by hitting trunk button in car. Have to open it with the key. Trunk also sqeaks when I open it. Little plastic coverings to the bottom of the seats have come off numerous times. Lately it hasn't been shifting as nicely. Otherwise, it is a very nice looking car on the inside and outside. Very sporty. That's my favorite feature that got me to buy it. After owning it for a while I wished it had more features. It is nice getting people's heads to turn when I drive by though!"

"I bought my car new in 2000 for under 20K. It has been worth every penny. I have had minimal maintanence costs and the handling of the car is sick. Anyone I've let drive my car is incredibly impressed with it's acceleration, steering and handling. I would HIGHLY recommend buying this car. I've contemplated selling it recently, but my boyfriend loves the way it drives so much he's trying to convince me to keep it and fix it up and I think I just might. It has 100K miles on it and still runs like new. Not to mention it has been EXTREMELY reliable. I love the car so much, I am pretty sure the next car I buy is going to be a top of the line new eclipse. One complaint tho--it is very difficult to get in and out of. And if you are over 5'7", you will hate the interior b/c it's so compact."

"I've owned my car for the past two years and have put 20k miles on it. It now has 53k miles. Have had very little problems with it. Handling is excellent, feels like its gliding. Performance lacks due to the weight of the car, but a good amount of torque for what it is. Great car for a student."

"I own a 2001 Mitsibishi Elclipse GT. It is semi-automatic. This car has given me nothing but good things, from the styling of it, to the actual performance, and it is worth every penny I paid for it. The styling of the interior of the car is nothing extra special, but still very excellent. The cup holders are good for coffee lovers like me(not flimsy, but built in between the seats), and the seats are comfortable giving enough room for anyone. The back seat, I'm sure is uncomfortable(not that I ever sit there), but it is a two door sports car, so that is to be expected. The exterior of this car is something special. It's excellent design puts it a notch above the rest straight out as a stock car. When modified this car can be excellent enough to ride with the best of them, and even when not modified, it is certainly never a joke. Put the money into it in the right places, and you will see good results. The car is, however, far from all show and no go. The V6 engine does not fail to give its all, the actual acceleration being improved when making use of the semi-automatic transmission. When adding an exhaust kit the car puts out enough horsepower for a car fan like me. In addition, the car has had absolutely no seriou probems. It taks a fair amount of gas, but once again, you get what you pay for. The premium fuel you pamper this car with goes straight into the performance and the preservation of a good engine. despite however i have driven this car, it keeps going with me. In short, every penny I've put in, I have not regretted. Verticle doors are the next step for me, have fun with yours!"

"This car is a lot of fun to drive! It handles smooth, is comfortable, and it really grips the road. The interior design is easy to operate and the exterior styling speaks for itself! I would not recommend this car for a teenager however due to safety ratings. Enjoy the ride but play it safe."

"Ive owned the car for over a year now. It has 40,000 miles on it. Since then I have done some aftermarket modifications to it, which really make the car awesome and fun to drive. But even without modifying it, i had a fun time driving it. I look forward to having this car for many more years."

"I own a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT. I have had it for three years now. I have done Just the pipes and intake with a chip and WOW. 18" wheels from the stock 17" wheel and it started to handle Great, not that the stock 17" did not. Custom body kit helped to plant it to the ground and cut throw the air better. Carbon fiber hood to lighten up the front end and the true potential was there. This car has been a true dream to drive, it is like a go cart around the corners and it feels great with the speed sensitive rack and pinion. A ROCKET of the line and a true head turner. The only down side to a car this sweet is you never know when to stop. The ride is so smooth you can't feel a thing. You can catch your self speeding before you know it even if you are on a high way with a 80 mph speed limit. I for sure have been caught at a much greater speed but I don't want to go there now. The interior design is almost perfect but some things like the shifter hitting my cup in the holder is my biggest grip. Small thing for such a GREAT car. The seats have great leather the stock sound system is top notch. The over all quality is what had sold me. I love it and every one I know wants it. I'm just not ready. Hope you found this some what helpful. If you are looking for one or at one, BUY IT NOW!!!! YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!!!"

"I own a Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder. I love it but there are many areas Mitsubishi skimped. The visor clips are fragile. I've replaced the drivers side. The visors are cheap. The upper side has tears in the really, really cheap fabric. The lumbar adjustment lever fell off during an interior clean up and I've replaced it. Now, it is one of the sexiest chick cars ever designed. It meets most of my requirements - manual transmission, convertible, and a trunk big enough for golf clubs and a weekend bag. Almost, because I've acquired a girlfriend and we have difficulty putting her weekend bag in the trunk with my golf clubs and weekend bag. It gets reasonably good gas mileage - 20 - 27 during normal commuting (15 miles from suburbia to downtown) and 30+ on the highway with the top down. The local dealers should pay me a commission - I've helped sell 6 - 10 of them."
