Consumer Reviews
"I bought my Endeavor in May 2004, and have had no problems at all. Pretty good gas mileage for a tall vehicle. I average 19-21 MPG between city and highway driving. I own the 2WD version so I don't have the driveline problems others speak of. I can't think of a bad thing to say about it. Great value for the money."

"Awsome SUV. Hugh interior and Flashy exterior. The Dash Material may not be "normal" but actually barely reflects anything onto the Windshield. Handles like a Charm on road and Great for my weekender off road needs."

"I bought this SUV used in 2004, but it only had 3,513 miles. It now has 145,000 miles and it has not let me down. It had a few recalls, but no mechanical problems so far. Critics say it is bad in style and it doesn't have a bigger engine available, but I think it is great. There is no advantage in having a fast engine in Southern California, there is too much traffic. You would just be causing more pollution and waist more gas. I get great compliments from everyone I know for having a unique SUV. My Mitsubishi Endeavor is great in comfort (it has a lot of room), great styling, safety and most valuable to me, reliability!!! Great SUV for a great price. You have to own it to know the truth, the critics are usually not right!"

"I bought my Endeavor in May 2004. Great mileage, very peppy, stereo is wonderful and it looks good. Only complaint is the information center is hard to read during the day with the headlights on."

"i love my Endeavor its very stylish yet unique. i have the LS model and even for a low end model its very well equiped. my parents bought me this car becuase of the safty features. it has very minimum engine noise inside and the ride is great almost like driving a sadan which is great. one of the main reasons i like it is becuase its very spacious for me being 6'3" i dont like to be cramed in something. and i like the fact that the LS FWD does not have ABS. and the powerful 3.8 engine has great get up and go. but the main downfall is that there are not very many after market products. but other then that i love driving it and when it comes time for another car i will buy another one..."

"I bought my '04 AWD LS Endeavor used with about 24000 miles. Currently 30,000. Very comfortable (I'm 6'2") and wife 5'2" - I fit and she can climb in easily; love the interior layout, especially the control panel pushing out towards driver. Easy to reach controls so no need for cluttering steering wheel with radio volume controls and the like. Mine came with leather interior (odd for LS). Only negative about interior is design of center console - can't activate the slap-shifter with any comfort with lid down, and the lid itself is a bulky blob which could have been turned into more storage, but is just THERE. Room for 2-kids (baby & toddler) , wife, dog. Smooth ride, very quiet... at first. Then. a horrible jet engine-like whine started at about 29,500 miles. It came from the front transaxle. Starting at about 45 or so miles an hour is a subtle, high pitched turbine engine-like sound, dropping in pitch as you accelerate to hwy speeds (70 mph). It persisits even at speeds of 35-45 mph once it begins, sometimes gaining volumeif more stop & go driving. Took it to dealer for service - learned Mitsubishi has "Transaxle Gear Whine" tech notice: Upshot, its an acknowledged problem, but dealer service said replacing the drive shaft won't help. I cannot recommend the vehicle knowing this issue is persistent & currently unresolved. Other than this issue, I've enjoyed the car. It handles and rides like a car, but gives you SUV-like interior without the bulk (hint: easy to park) and wihout being a mini-van."

"Maybe I am biased...been driving a 99 Grand Am for the last few years. Disaster on wheels. But my 04 Endeavor is the highlight of my day. I love it. Everything. The dash, the sound system, the heated leather seats. THE RIDE. So smooth. Instant reaction when I hit the gas. Handles perfect. The vehicle being on a car base, makes such a huge difference. I was looking for a SUV for my family of 5. Looked at Trailblazer EXTs, looked at Grand Cherokees, looked at Explorers. Couldn't have found a better match than the Endeavor. No it doesn't have 3rd row seating which I was looking for. I don't need it. The rear seats are so roomy. 3 kids and a carseat. No problem. Glove box-HUGE, Console, HUGE. Rear storage, HUGE. It is so quiet, except when I am rocking to the Infinity sound sytem which ROCKS. I did a lot of research before purchasing this vehicle (learned my lesson with the Pontiac) and while the Editors slammed this vehicle, it was all on styling which I think they have poor subjectivity. Most cars, even brand new ones have plasticy cheap looking interiors. Not the Endeavor. It looks so sleek and modern. I have never driven a "luxury" vehicle, but I feel like I am now. I get comments from friends and coworkers on what a beautiful car I drive. The other great thing is I don't see 1500 of them on a 30 minute drive home. It is unfortunate that others have not found the diamond in the haystack as I have. I do not regret my decision one bit. Couldn't have made a better choice. Thank you Mitsubishi for finally putting an end to my transportation nightmares. I am now having very sweet dreams."

"We recently purchased the 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor. handles great. we love the interior. runs awesome, no problems whatsoever. The interior is spacey and comfortable. It handles more like a car than a SUV. Lots of fun to drive!!"
