This price range reflects the Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail value for all trim levels, but not necessarily all available options.
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail value represents the amount an auto dealer might ask for a specific vehicle; the actual sale price will vary. A vehicle's popularity, condition, warranty, color and local market conditions are factors involved in determining a final price. The retail value is not a trade-in or private party value.
The Suggested Retail value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. The Suggested Retail value also allows for advertising, sales commissions, insurance and other costs of doing business as a dealer. Most vehicles offered at this price have passed an inspection, and some may carry a warranty. Vehicle mileage is assumed to be normal or below normal.

Vehicle Overview
Mitsubishi's Galant sedan was redesigned last year, and this year it gains several standard and optional features. Mitsubishi builds the Galant at its plant in Illinois, where it also builds the Eclipse coupe and Spyder convertible. Among the new standard features for all models are a keyless entry system, engine immobilizer system that requires the proper coded key to start the car, and a three-point seatbelt for the center rear seat position. Traction control is a new standard feature on LS and GTZ models.
Interior All models seat five, though the two who sit in front will be more comfortable than those in the rear. The EPA classifies Galant as a midsize car based on interior volume of 111 cubic feet, although we have grouped it with compact vehicles based on its wheelbase. The trunk has 14 cubic feet, and the rear seatback is split and folds for extra space on all models except the base DE. DE and ES models have a new standard sound system with a CD player, and the LS and GTZ models get a premium Infinity system with a CD player. A six-disc in-dash CD changer is a new option for all models.
Exterior An overall length of 187.8 inches gives Galant the body of a long compact or a short midsize sedan, but the 103.7-inch wheelbase is just half an inch longer than the subcompact Honda Civic's. Contemporary styling marked by chiseled fenders and sweeping rear roof pillars gives the Galant the appearance of a larger car.
Under the Hood The DE and ES come with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder, available with manual or automatic transmission. A 3.0-liter V-6 with 195 horsepower is standard on the LS and GTZ and optional on the ES. The V-6 comes only with a four-speed automatic.
