"While some do not like the exterior styling, the overall build quality of the Mitsubishi Montero is miles ahead when compared to comparable true off-roader SUV's. Besides being ultra-reliable, they are truly tough enough to take on mud pits, rock climbs, and 5 screaming kids in the back. Highway driving for a such a large SUV is great, I was surprised how well it handles and maintains speed. Gas milage is way better than other vehicles in this segment as well. For the money, my opinion is that there is no better value for a SUV that delivers reliable results in mud and snow while providing great highway driveability. Like anything else, the trick is finding one that has been taken care of and maintained. Even a 2004 model will provide years of future service if taken care of properly."

"This suv is quiet...unlike most mid-sized suv's. It easily fits our family and dogs. This is a very comfortable vehicle. Ours have over 120k and it is still going strong. We hope to drive it past 200K."
