"I love my car! It's roomy and a smooth ride. It handles well in all types of weather. My only fault with it is the pickup isn't what I'd like it to be. The paddle shifters are a unique feature that I enjoy also."

"The 148 horsepower really shows, it's lacking pulling away from a traffic light, using the paddle shifters, make it a little better, but uses more gas. Maybe I should have spent the extra $4000 to buy a 170 horsepower SUV, like the CR-V. But it's still a nice car inside and out!"

"I've had my Outlander sport ES with CVT for just over 2 months. I think it's a pretty nice little car/suv/wagon, whatever you want to call it. I really like the way it looks. The power seems more than adequate, it rides smooth and quiet, hardly any tire or wind noise, handles great, gets good mileage. At 1400 plus miles my MPG has ranged from 24.3 right after I took delivery to 27.4 on my last fill up in mixed driving, probably 35/65 City/Hwy. If you look at all the various road tests, the base model with the 5 speed gets very good 0-60 mph and 1/4 mile times, but most of the road tests are done with the loaded SE model with AWD which weighs more and isn't as fast. My 2WD ES with CVT is quite peppy especially in the manual mode using either the paddles or the shift lever. I've taken my car up to the mountains twice since I got it and the ability to shift it manually in the 6 power ranges of the CVT transmission made going up the hills and back down a lot of fun. In the reviews they keep comparing the Outlander Sport to the Kia Sportage which is slightly larger and heavier, I think a better comparison would be with the Toyota Matrix/Pontiac Vibe which is very close in size and weight. When I purchased my Outlander Sport in early April I got a super deal, they took $1675 off the sticker price, they gave me over low book for my trade-in, an 06 Kia Sportage, and they financed the balance for 4 years at 0% interest rate. There's a lot of other nice features, the electronics, storage space, dash display, great warranty, etc. I,m very happy with the deal I got and the car."

"Lots of space for a small car!! We traded in a Saturn Outlook which we liked for the space, but had poor gas mileage and mechanical problems. The Outlander Sport FWD is very economical (we got 38 mpg on a long trip)and around town. This is my wife's car and she loves to drive it and it handles well for its size. There is plenty of space for our two dogs and two kids. I wish they made a performance version of this vehicle like a GTS or Ralliart because I would purchase another one for myself!"

"me and my wife both got new cuvs this year she got the outlander sport(nothing sport about it) i got the new sportage, both look nice both have tons of standard features both cost within 500 of each other msrp wise but i got the sportage for about 1800 cheaper the gas mileage on the sportage is better 23-25 in town vs 17-18, the interior is nicer and larger , the power doesnt even compare... the outlander is a flat out dog paddle shift it all you want it just gets louder the cvt in the outlander just plain sucks dont get me wrong i dont hate the outlander its just a drivetrain short of being a good car with a good transmission it might be ok, but with the slushbox cvt it just fails to the normal car buyer...there not supposed to be super fast but when you have to merge you shouldnt have to think should i wait or 'can i make it' untill they change the transmission i would stay away from it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"I first bought a full size Outlander SE in 2008 after reading good reviews and test driving it. I was very happy with the vehicle. It looked, drove and performed great. So when the 2011 outlander sport arrived I decided to take it for a test drive too. A week later I was the proud owner of another Mitsubishi vehicle. The sport SE is a little smaller in the hatch/cargo area than the larger outlander but it drives great. The standard features it comes with is hard to beat. Heated seats ,tilt/telescopic steering wheel,4 wheel disk, all wheel drive, blue tooth for your phone, usb plug, mp3, 18 inch rims, paddle shifters and the standard stereo sounds great. Gas mileage is pretty good too. Overall I average 23 to 27 mpg. On the Hway its about 24 to 30 depending on how fast you drive. 55 to 60 gets about 30 mpg. 65 to 75 about 22-24 mpg. if you reset the mpg button while on the Hway it will show a true Hway mpg. If you do city driving than get on the Hway it shows the average for both , so it will be a lower average. I read a reviewer complaining about the Mpg. He might be driving too fast or not reseting the MPG button. Im very happy with the sport model and highly recommend it."

"I'm not overly pleased with the below average fuel mileage this vehicle offers in real life driving. 23 mpg is not bad unless you tell people your vehicle gets 31. I've nursed this vehicle along now for 3 months trying many different driving styles all with the same poor economy. The vehicle overall has many cool features so if you want a 20,000 dollar ipod it's worth a try. If you want better fuel economy, try another vehicle."

"Outlander Sport SE. I love my car. I looked at all the reveiws and the only thing I could agree on is lack of power. I didnt buy mine for power I love all the features that come standard with my car. My car have all the features of a high end car with out the high end price. The sounds in it is crazy nice. I drive alot so i needed a car that nice to drive. Show me a car with as many features for the money. I dare ya."
