"I am 64 , retired from engineering Technology . Have owned or operated many cars in my life time . It is important to note when a manufacturer does an outstanding job especially over previous years . the 2013 Altima is a fantastic car in all regards . I only wanted the 3.5 due to later I will convert it to Natural Gas after it is out of warranty . CNG will be our future in America. The new Altima is a magnificent buy. Naturally I bought it on sale about 5500 off MSRP. this car is the quality of a Lexus or of a Maxima , but much cheaper ."

"We shopped and researched for a month extensively and decided that the Nissan Altima SV was the best buy for the money. It was a close call between the altima and Honda Accord, Nissan was able to deliver us the best price with a savings of $3840 over the Accord....No Brainer there....We traded our 09 Camry as part of the deal, Toyota has earned our business in the past with a perfect reliability record and good customer service but has truly fallen behind the pack in technology offerings compared to Nissan and Honda. Our Nissan came with Backup camera, premium sound, adaptive cruise, and a host of other features that was options in the 13 camry. I recommend that as a buyer you shop and compare what vehicles meet your needs then work the numbers game. Good luck!!!!"

"The 2013 Altima is very beautiful i'm a Altima guy this Nissan is best of the best ever. Interior is more upgraded and has great horsepower the styling looks like a Audi or BMW this is not the car thats boring anymore. The Altima is sporty if getting 2.5 sv or 3.5 sv or SL models with top of the line features looks like the Maxima but cheaper model with little bit more options added for 2013s. Gas mileage is great and comfortable with great features this is the car that leaves Camry, Malibu, Fusion and Sonata out in the dark. The Altima had issues from transmission failure and steering whining but those were the early models in late 2012 now they built better ones in 2013 don't be judge about issues i told this is great car thats not boring anymore lets thank Nissan for giving the Altima great looks and lots of safety features."

"I have the 3.5 SV , prefer cloth over leather on my skin . I am 64 and have owned Camry's , Accords , and Nissan Altima's . I drove all three before purchasing the Altima as well as the Ford Fusion also. Honda's are great , Fusion are also . But Altima is more attractive and rides better and better fuel economy . The best drastic improvement comes in ride comfort, and quietness of the car . I opt for the V-6 as the CVT on the V-6 is better than the 4 cyl , with no noise . Those I talked with had been getting better than the 31 rating hwy. Mine also gives better , I get about 33 hwy if I fill it brim to brim and do a comparison on a 3 hundred mile trip . For a car of this nature with 270 Hp this is fantastic . This car is over the top , The Engine has long been well proven and Nissan makes the best CVT , although past models I owned tend to be noisy . The noise is gone , it rides like a dream car . It easily passes everything on the road like a bullet . Got to be careful about getting a ticket , it is so quiet and smooth you have no idea your going so fast . I am 64 and have owned many cars in my life time , American cars have long ago went to the dogs except Ford Fusion . This car is not a cheap car , just in price , the quality is that of a Lexus or some of that nature . Naturally I got it on sale and got a fantastic interest rate . Leg room has improved . I fully expect this car to pass Camry in sales , they are already up by 35% and it is easy to see why . Next would be the Honda Accord , Honda makes an excellent car also , I just love the ride of the Altima better , and the instant power of the 3.5 , 270 HP. Get this car on sale and you can not make a mistake , at the same time there is lots of competition , Honda is good and Ford Fusion . I do see some people give bad reviews , that do not make sense . This is an extremely well engineered Car , Nissan did a fantastic job . Americans still have a long long way to go to rebuild their reputation , Nissan , Toyota and Honda as well as Ford Fusion are all serious competitors . I am deathly scared of Kia due to they lied about their fuel economy , Never lie to the public . I spent weeks driving all of these cars and waited till the sale in May 2013 , typically they drop over 5 k off the price on all cars . The only objections I had were the wheels I traded the wheels for the less expensive 17 inch wheels , the dealer worked with me to please me . 18 inch wheels are ridiculously expensive and easily bend when you hit a hard pot whole or curb , Old men like me are not stupid like these kids whom love the look , but have no idea how expensive these wheels are to replace . !8 inch tires are ridiculous and do not have the 80-90 K mile ratings that I am used to so I consider all large wheels bad . But you can get 16 inch with 90K miles and 75K miles on 17 inch at a normal price . 18 inch will make you pass out with costs . the car also rides a bit better with 17 inch vs 18 inch wheels . Either the Accord or the Altima are both excellent and you can not make a mistake , many hundreds of thousands of miles of reliability . I come from a family of Engineers and technicians , we know machines ."

"Great car. Very nice riding car, low wind noise, comfortable and large enough. Fits family of 5 well. Lots of trunk space. Tech package is great and Nissan continues to impress with the great stereo system from Bose! Thanks Nissan for paying attention to detail and putting a car out that looks, feels, performs and sounds all great!"

"I needed a rental car for a week to drive around Florida for a business trip, and this pile is what the rental company gave me. It was a 2013 with 4 miles on the odo when they turned it over to me. It went back with about 1500 miles on the clock, and it felt like 3000 miles in a wooden cart. My back aches as I write this. I rent cars often, and try a wide range of cars, just to see what is out there, and this is the worst car I have ever tried. Ugly to look at, underpowered slug, less than expected mileage, and seats less comfortable than burlap over plywood. The controls are not laid out with any logic, and some are even hard to get to. It's just really poorly designed. Road noise wasn't too bad at highway speeds, but around town it made some unattractive noises. On the highway, it tended to drift a bit, and was rough riding. I ended up giving it 5 stars for reliability, because in the whole time I had it, nothing broke, so that's fair enough. Do yourself a favor and look at an American or European car. I have yet to find a good Asian car, but this was the worst so far."

"Ride is smooth and comfortable, power is average, was looking for good gas mileage. Exterior is very appealing and interior is nice, but seat cloth material attracts lint and hair. Convenience package is a nice feature with sun roof and alloy wheels, bluetooth, homelink, steering wheel audio controls, etc. So far nice car."

"Traded in a 2012 Ford Fusion on a 2013 Altima SV. I am 6'3" and have plenty of room, and the Altima is getting much better gas mileage than the fusion...over 34mpg combined city/hwy. I get compliments wherever I go. Decided on SV model because I wanted solid wheels and not hubcaps...remote start, upgraded climate control/stereo are also huge pluses. There is a slight "grinding" noise from the transmission if you accelerate very very slowly, however it lasts a second and then goes away. With the radio on its a null point. Overall great car for the money and total package with rebates, financing, etc...BUY ONE!"
