Consumer Reviews
"This car is so much fun to drive and it comes with Nissan's legendary sr20 so you can really do a lot with this car. No one ever suspects this car would be as fast as it is. I love the rev limit too it makes driving a blast."

"slight understeer good performance nice clean interior layout if you need a reliable comfortable car that will not let you down when you go outside the city this is a great car, now with high gas prices it makes it an even better car up to 40 miles to the galon it beats a brand new toyota corolla by 2 on highway the transmission(auto) is allso very smooth first to second is well a little bit rough but after that shifts are smooth and precise"

"In The mid to late '50's, the Porsche 550 Carrera Spyder was a sleeper. In the early to mid '60's, the 356 Porsche Carrera II and the Mini Cooper S were sleepers. In the '70's and '80's, sleepers weren't produced [that I can think of] ... But between 1991 and 1994, some brilliant off-shore engineers made up for that 20 year "sleeper" laps in a HUGE, HUGE way when Nissan introduced the first Sentra SE-R. This wasn't just a car. It was a dragon slayer, a top secret speed wagon weapon, a closed coarse handling dream car ... all in sheeps clothing. It was the "Ultimate Sleeper". The first thing you notice when you get into an SE-R is the Recarro style seats. These are no nonsense racing seats designed to hold you tight under high lateral g-force loads. You might think to yourself {{{Yeah, Right ...$300.00 saddle on a $20.00 horse}}}, but then you scope out the plain-Jane analog instrument cluster and see the tach red-line [all true car guys look at the red- line first] starting at ... 7,200 RPM??? But wait, isn't this a 5sp? Ha! Ha! Well that would mean that, and OMG, sure enough, there it is. The Speedo tops out at, NO WAY! 150 MPH!!! OK. If it can go that fast, then how does it get stopped? No problem, the 14" 5 spoke alloy wheels [all other Sentra's came with 13" wheels] hide the big disc brakes front and rear. Also underneath are a pair of big beefy front and rear anti-sway bars, rack and pinion steering and a sweet Limited Slip differential that truly puts this car in a class of it's own in the handling department. Under the hood is stuffed a 2 Liter, 16 valve DOHC aluminum engine that pumps out an almost unheard of 136 HP at the front wheels on a chassis dyno! The engine is rated by the factory at 140 HP. Couple this with the fact that if you empty the trunk, the car only weighs a mere 2,250 LB., trust me, you certainly don't want to race a skinny kid in a Sentra SE-R for pink slips while your out picking up a quart of milk in your momma's Buick LeSabre. No friends, this is not your every day run of the mill Sentra. Not by a long shot."
