"So far so good. Got the factory fix on the brakes at 10,000 and have been enjoying it ever since. Despite the red marks, I've been very plesased. This truck tows a 23' foot like a dream. It's reasonably quiet and plenty of vroom."

"I've never had so many people come up to me to tell me that they love my truck as I have had with my Nissan Titan. I absolutely love this truck. It rides better than a car in the back seat. The power REAR window is fantastic. The small cargo room in the body behind the left rear wheel is real special. I keep tools in there for emergencies. It has more power than any truck I've ever owned. Take off is powerful. No problems getting on the interstate. I especially love how the rear seats fold up and the front passenger seat turns into a table to work on. I don't think I'll ever own another brand of truck. I have owned Fords and Chevy's. They are nothing compared to my Nissan. I haven't had a single problem since I bought it. And with Nissan's history, I doubt I ever will. As long as I keep the oil and filters changed and do regular maintenance, Nissan is a very reliable brand. I love my truck. And my wife loves it too. When she is ready to trade in her Infiniti QX4, she wants to get the same truck."

"I bought a KC 2005 SE after researching all available trucks. I thought I had made the right choice. During the first 80,000 miles, I thought I did have the most durable truck around, especially after reading about so many problems with the Titan. Nissan was real good about the front break problem but that is where the problem solving ended. During my recent oil change, I noticed lubricant leaking at both ends of the rear axle. Of course the extended warranty just ran out at 75,000 miles. Usually I wouldn't think twice about fixing a problem myself, but with the info available over the internet, I found a considerable amount of fellow Titaneers are having the same problem. NissanUSA has agreed to pay half to replace the seals. I thing that is a confession that they know of the problem but they say it is to just satisfy (pacify) the customer. I hope Nissan will stand behind their product better."

Most Reliable Truck I've Owned

"I bought an '05 Nissan Titan SE Crew Cab. I love the features on it. The bed has all the adjustable features and bed divider. The power is unbelievable. No problem getting on the interstate. I especially like the power rear window as well as all the storage compartments. I've owned a Ford F150 and a Chevy S10. I don't think I'll ever own another Ford or Chevy again. Everywhere I go, people walk around my truck admiring it. I've been asked about it practically every time I've been somewhere. Now all my friends want to own one. The rear sonar sensor is especially nice. When you back up and get within 6 ft of an obstacle, it starts beeping in the cab. And as you get closer and closer it beeps faster and faster as a warning to the driver. I didn't get the DVD Entertainment center nor did I get the GPS unit. But I plan on buying them in the aftermarket. I saw on ebay that they sell the DVD units that are built into the headrests and that's the way I want to go. This truck has more room in the back than I've ever seen in a truck. It's almost like I'm inside a Hummer. The front passenger seat folds down to make a great desk area. I can put my laptop on it and work away. I only wish my drivers seat would rotate around, but instead I get in the back seat and work on the desktop. This is by far the best truck I've ever had. I bought it after reading what the Consumer Reports said about it. The first year was the '04 and it had an average rating. But they apparently got all the small problems out of it for the '05 model and the Consumer Reports rated the '05 above average in almost every category. My first car as a teenager was a Nissan Sentra and I always swore that was the best car I ever owned. I never had any problems with it for over 10 years and over 250,000 miles. I think I will stay with Nissan for years to come."

"The worst being my 04 titan. Dealer and Nissan customer service was less than poor, lemon lawed the 04, got into the 05 as part of the settlement than had to lemon law the 05. *sigh* Great features on the truck, great truck on paper, too many issues to be even considered a good vehicle =(."

Very Solid Truck

"I purchased an 05 LE 4x4 Crew cab. It had most features aside from not having the DVD, NAV,Off-Road (Too Stiff for anything comfortable but off road). The interior is plastic as you would expect but is of decent quality. The truck is solid, hauls a lot for the money (9k plus lbs) and other than the obligatory brake shudder recal (which Nissan took care of eventually) it has been trouble free over my first 1 1/2 years and 15k miles. I have been getting right at 13.5 to 14 mpg. I have the 4wd with all the options and it is heavy so maybe a lighter Titan can get 15mpg plus but I have never seen it. You have to know going in this is not a Civic when it comes to gas. It has clever storage, handy features, handles very well in daily city driving has ample room for rear passengers to sit (very important to me). I have Galaxy black and it has held up well so far but I garage it and live in Texas so I expect it to. Service from my local Dallas dealers has been so/so but over all acceptable. You can tell Nissan is hungry to move up but they are not up to Honda/Toyota standards. That said in 2005 neither Honda or Toyota had a truck that would pull my boat and other trailer that top well over 7k lbs. Compared to a Ford,Chevy or Dodge there is no comparision. The jury is out on what the 07 Toyota Tundra will be (I hear finally full size) but the chink in it's armor is the high price. You will not be dissapointed with the Titan. I feel like I got what I was looking for and at a fair price."

"From the day I laid eyes on this truck, I fell in love. Everything about the Titan is amazing. Fantastic bold lines, Spacious interior room, Luxury car-like ride, Throaty muscular exhaust and an exceptionally long list of standard equipment. I will undoubtedly shed tears the day I have to give my truck up."

Nissan Titan, great truck but hurts at the pump!

"My Nissan Titan crew cab XE is a great truck. But it hurts the wallet at the gas pump. So far, I only had a couple minor problems with my truck. Such as breaking with vibration, gas gage not responding and overall very poor dealership experience. I have visited two different Nissan dealership service centers, and they fail to even meet any expectations I had. As a result, you will get a great truck but do not expect too much from the dealer when you need to take the truck back for services. But there is a good chance that you may have better luck with your local Nissan dealer than I did... Have fun, and buckle up! RickRicardo"
