"I bought the V-6 with leather and no sunroof, just what I wanted. The V-6 does sound rough accelerating mildly below 1500 RPM as some magazines have noted, BUT it sings wonderful music on its way to 7000 RPM and 256HP. I love the sound when on the throttle. I purchased the car certified pre-owned with 9000 miles on it. I have had two check engine lights in the first thousand miles of ownership, but the dealer appears to have it fixed. I rated reliability average for that reason. Its been great the last 2000 miles. The handling is a great balance between comfortable on the highway cruising and carving up the corners. Most of my miles are highway, and I love how this car is comfortable and fairly quiet, but allows easy passing when you need to get around slower traffic."

"I bought the G8 GT 1 year ago. It is a fun car to drive with globs of power. There is no annoying FWD torque steer and front heavy understeer. The V8 is powerful, but unfortunately, is detuned with AFM to improve fuel consumption. Overall, it is a fun car to drive and I bought mine at a good price. Too bad that GM has discontinued the G8."

"This car is an amazing bang for the buck. A great Vette V8 nestled into a 4 door sedan means fun for the whole family. The auto transmission is well suited for this car and allows for throttle matching when in manual mode. Only a slight hint of under-steer during aggressive cornering, however remains very predictable. Controls are in good locations and an over all exterior look of a BMW, which is nice. HUGE amount of room in the back seat, I am 6'4 and I sit very comfortable in any seat in this car. Enough trunk space to feed a small country and enough horse power and torque to jump start Idaho. Fun and safe all wrapped up in a car that has a badge which will fetch a collectors fee as Pontiac drifts into memory."

"You can't beat this car for the money. The performance is amazing. You get a very nice all-around vehicle, not some stripped down rocket on wheels. A little worse on gas mileage than expected, but it has been very cold in the area lately. Drives great in the rain, but horribly in snow."

"I've owned my G8 for 6 months, and love it's performance, and styling... Takes getting used to the controls, but I'm usually too busy driving than worrying about the controls. Early 2009 edition lacks blue tooth, again usually too busy driving to worry about talking on the phone..."

"After driving cars for the low payment and ease of loading kids for many years - I am beyond excited to be in a sporty yet practical car. I love the looks and the V8 makes it exhilarating. Its roomy and yet for us shorter people I feel like it really fits me with the bucket seats. With two boys who will be driving soon - this car will be in our family for awhile. Way to go Pontiac - a lot of car for a great price!"

"The G8 GT combines sports car performance with family car utility. Great space, nice materials with great acceleration, handling and sound. The V8 with 6 speed automatic is a great powertrain package."

"I was incredibly fortunate to find this car at a dealer after the model year was over still brand new and got a terrific deal. I get comments on it all the time how good it looks! The outside looks fabulous and the interior is comfortable and surprisingly roomy, particularly in the rear seating. Some of the extra bells and whistles are great as well, like the upgraded sound/display system and remote start is great for cold Ohio winters. My sons are already fighting over who gets this car! Rear wheel drive provides amazing handling as well; most people my age (mid-60's) are turned off by this feature, but I found it a major selling point. I highly recommend this vehicle to anyone looking for a roomier sedan that still possesses youthful styling and solid performance!"

"This is a great car better than the local made stuff. I drove one when I was in Australia before it came to the US and was greatly impressed. So impressed I have bought one here just with Pontiac styling on it - not great. The V6 is great on fuel for its size and can be driven hard or light either way. I find tall people like the car. Its also a great towing car too"

"I have a GXP with the manual transmission. The transmission shift action is much better than my 2005 GTO. Firm but not punshing ride. Brakes work well, but got spoiled by a previous car that I had stainless braided brake lines installed which gave a better firmness to the pedal. I get 28 mpg highway with cruise control on. Too bad people are more concerned about the status of the brand of car they drive than what capability and quality of what they drive. The GXP excels everywhere that the German brands do. I've driven the 550i. There isn't anything the 550I has over the GXP, except the 550i's tens of thousands higher price. What status is there in over-paying?"
