"The minivan has been good. The power dirvers seat, electric windows, sliding door, and even an onboard airpump have been great. The 6 cylinders get the vehicle going and provide adequate exceleration. Seating for 7 is good. Removable rear seats provide great cargo room. Have had some problems like the drivers seat needs fixing, battery is hard to replace, water pump broke, ECM needed replacing, fuel pump needed replacing, several recalls, and brakes are just not adequate. Overall it is a good vehicle. We have over 172,000 miles and it still runs good. It seems safe and we use it every week."

"Have NEVER written a car review, but figure I owe it to this one. Best car I have ever owned. Now 172K miles, and only minor stuff had to be done. I'm ready to downsize, but can I be this lucky again?"

"It is very reliable van and safe for the family. I owned it for over three years and I only changed tires and brake pads. I highly recommend it for families."

"Bought this Van used with 50,000 miles and now have 98,000. It performs great highway and city. Good handling and responsive engine. Just wish it had power slide doors on both sides instead of just the passenger side. Otherwise a great car."

Not as bad as the 98 Windstar

"I have said I would recommend it to a friend based on the idea that the friend would investigate in detail the history of the van. Our van's rack has been replaced and the most common problem is the intake manifold gasket has a high failure rate (no recall) for this engine. It will run you about $750 to replace. Also, due to the design of the engine compartment, simple things like changing out the battery is an hour process. The positives are that it is roomy and allows a larger family several options of seating arrangements. It rides well (much better than the 98 Windstar we had), but handles much sloppier than the 97 Nissan Quest. You should not pay over $4000 for one at this point because you will never know whether the intake manifiold is bad or the rack is about to fail. Also, the driver's side (power) window has a rather cheap set of plastic clips that keep it on the control arm. I know of many that have failed, but the clips are about five bucks each (at the dealership only) and are not too hard to replace once you get the door pannel off."

"Door windows stopped working at about 60,000. Still should have been in good shape. Warranty didnt take care of it. Ate the cost.3 alternators since 78,000. Lower motor mount out of it at 82,000. Blown head gasket at 112,000 motor replacement at 112,000. Repeated trips to the dealer to take care of some ground wire that makes it stop running.Next time it breaks it going to the junk yard."
