Consumer Reviews
"This wagon for the money truley gives me the performance, styling and features (AWD, Leather, Stereo, Storage, roof racks) that i was looking for. Previously i drove a german sports wagon which cost double the price, but by comparison was richer in int6erior comforts, but felt very heavy while driving. The Legacy gt wagon feels light and drives hard as you like. The steerinvg wheel has a gREAT sporty feel and the wagon feels perfectly balanced while driving. A real blast to drive, and you would never believe it was only a 4 cylinder engine producing all that power. The car pops 100 hp per liter which is up there with the best sports car companys in the world. Porsche pops 355 hp in 3.8 liters, legacy gt 250hp in 2.5liters! do the math on others. test drive one for yourself. My only Qualm is the braking lacks the stoppage that other sports cars deliver."

"I live in the Rocky Mountains where my previous 2001 Legacy Outback really chugged along up some of the steeper passes. At 125K miles it became clear that I needed a new car, but what? I have to have all wheel drive, a wagon for my recreational equipment, and NO mini-vans or SUV's. I really longed for an Audi, but couldn't realistically afford one! Then in 2005 Subaru unveiled their turbocharged 2.5 liter engine sporting 250 hp, the same amount the 2.7 liter turbo Audi puts in the A6 family. Bam! just what the doctor ordered. Now I drive over the mountains effortlessly (sometimes too effortlessly - watch it!). The 2.7L turbo Audi engine produces almost the same horsepower as the Subaru engine, but the Legacy is much a lighter car. Road feel in the car is smooth but never feels detached. The leather interior does double duty as I feel just as comfortable in my mountain bike clothes as I do when my wife and I valet when we go out for dinner. I'll be driving a Legacy wagon until I can afford an Audi S4 Avant wagon, which is to say, for decades to come."

"All wheel drive, 250+ HP and 250 ft lbs of torque, minimal turbo lag, zero torque steer, power seats for driver and passenger, sunroof, 6 disc CD, Bilstein shocks and STi underpinnings. Leather interior, Momo steering wheel, zero to 60 in 5.3 seconds (Car & Driver) and a great navigation system. I bought for $30K, including destination charges. Why buy a G35, when every performance number is better and you can walk away with at least $5,000 tucked in your pocket? This is my fourth Subaru for a reason!"

"We downsized from a bigger car to save gas and have more of a sporty feel. We love our legacy gt and would not trade it for anything. It is so quick and before you know it you are going 90. BE CAREFUL!"
