"I am 1000 miles into this 2013 Subaru and love it so far. Pros - Space for everybody It is very roomy both in the front, back and the storage in the back. I am 6 ft and have plenty of leg and headroom. My two growing boys have more room in the back seat than in our Volvo XC 90. They also lined the back seats with plastic so when the kids put their feet on the backs of the front seat, it is easy to clean up. I also put two 6 footers in the back for a trip and they were comfortable. Cargo space is great - fit all the gear for a weeklong ski trip in the back without a problem. there is storage in all the doors, underneath in the back etc..the car holds a ton Good gas mileage - I have been getting close to 27 MPG (mostly highway driving) CVT transmission - it is very smooth effiecient. Also has tiptronic transmission for manual shifitng which is great in the snow. Great in the snow - have taken two trips to the moutnains already - the first trip had six inches of nex snow on teh ground and the car was flawless in its handling. smooth and steady going up and down the mountain. Cons Audio system - I got it with the full nav/sound system. The sound is great but the user interface is a bit confusing and cludgey. It has a voice command system that is pretty much worthless - you have to learn all of the commands to make it work. I love the car so far - if the first 1000 miles are any inidcation, I will be driving this car as long as I drove my last subaru (150K)"

"Great car! We've had some snow since the time I bought the car and its a BEAST! It was made for snow. I've never felt so comfortable driving in inclement weather. It's also very comfortable and has great bells and whistles. It looks like a relatively large car from the outsiide, but it drives just like a mid-sized sedan (it doesn't feel too big when you're driving it.) I'd recommend this car to anyone looking for a cross-over vehicle."

"Considered the Subaru Outback and similar vehicles because of their multi-functional utility. After considerable research I opted for the Outback. Statistically it was way down on horsepower, however I'm finding the torque and acceleration more than adequate. So far, I'm impressed with the total package. Adjectives that come mind are; quiet, comfortable, and very well made. This is a vehicle I can enjoy well into the next decade. Every time I drive this car, it reenforces my decision to spend a little extra $ and purchase the Outback"

"Haven't had it long enough to give a full review but here are a few likes and dislikes. It's a very cofortable car with the 10 way adj. seat. I don't care for the headrest though. I'm not tall and there's no good heighth adj. on the hdrst that suits me. It has enough pickup but has a few shimmies I don't like much , not a smooth ride overall. There also seems to be a little slop in the tranny when changeing from rev. to drive. The body looks great and seems to be put together quite well. Some of the interior gauges, dials, etc... seem overdone or are placed poorly. The bluetooth and voice recognition are "difficult " contrary and I've given up on using the dogone hands free. The little touches that seemed unique to Subaru like the rear seatback protectors and cargo shield are very flimsy so thieir durability will certainly be called into question down the road. Can't complain about the price and really like the flexibility of options."

"I love my new Outback. It is fun to drive, handles great. Pretty good pickup for a 4 cylinder car. I love the styling and its looks. Only thing I am not totally satisfied with is the MPG. I am not getting anywhere near the 26MPG combined city/highway they say it gets. I get more like 22MPG combined."

"Never dreamed I would think a Suburu Outback could even compare to our Toyota Camry but I soon learned it's even better because it hugs the road & the turning radius is much better. I feel much safer driving this car than any I've had in my 60+ years of driving. The back up camera is fantastic in helping me park as well as back up. So thankful for our new car."

"OB Ltd opt23 Lots of whistles and bells. I don't like the location of the USB port in the center console. The nav system is not particularly intuitive. A teeny bit of steering wander on the interstate that may be due to the AWD. The HK stereo is a bit weak. I wouldn't mind a large digital display for the speed as the small speedometer is tough to read accurately. The OB's female voices both sound like old ladies. That being said, the car is great in every other way - so far. I like the key less entry - walk up to the car, grab the locked door handle and it opens. The backup camera is great. The dimming rear view mirror is nice. The cabin heat comes on fast as does the seat heat and the multiple defrosters. Controls are conveniently laid out. Cruise control displays the set speed - really nice. I can't wait to play in the snow. I HAD to choose a value for "reliability" and "value for the money", but those will take more time than a month to determine. Only have 1k miles on it - ask for another review in a couple months....."
