"now, having over 40,000 miles and not one single issue with the car. i've changed tires since the originals have worn out. i have the Limited model with all the options. i like the adaptive cruise control, heated/cooled seats, and navigation setup, although the navigation system could be better in the software side. as far as fuel economy goes, i've never gotten below 26 mpg and when on long distance trips on the interstate i always get over 31 mpg. on a trip from Nashville, TN to NYC, i averaged 72 mph getting 32 mpg, only stopping for fuel. about the only thing i'd improve on are the outside mirrors, there's a huge blind spot on the driver's side and the seats could use some side bolsters on the backsides and contoured edges on the seating surfaces. it's a great touring car."

"This is a great car for the money. I've owned it for 2 years now and everything is great. They have 60K warranty on drivetrain, and I never had any problems with mine. I'm not a car freak, but I do keep up with my maintenance, so everything is great. And parts are cheap for this car, so it helps. Anyways, car runs great, very decent on long trips and very stable, interior has looots of room!!! I love it!!!"

"Excellent car. Typical of Toyota's history of excellence. For a full size, luxuriously appointed vehicle, it offers fuel economy, great acceleration, comfort, style and features. There doesn't seem to be a car on the market that offers as much as the Avalon. There is a reason they are hard to find and command high resale - their drivers keep them."

"THIS CAR IS BAD IN ALL ESPECIALLY FOR THE VALUE. YOU CAN GET A BETTER TOYOTA AVALON AND ALL THE 2005 TOYOTA AVALON AREN'T AS GOOD AS THE 2006-2009 DUE TO THAT IT WAS THE FIRST TOYOTA AVALON AND THEN WITH THE 2006-2009 THEY CHANGED THE MISTAKES WITH THE 2005 AVALON AND MADE IT BETTER WITH ALL FEATURES AND PERFORMANCE WITH THE 2006-2009 AVALON SO ITS BEST FOR YOU TO BUY ANY LATER AVALON EXCEPT FOR THE 2005 AND I KNOW THIS FOR A FACT BECAUSE I AM A OFFICAL CAR REVIEWER AND TESTER AND I WORK IN MAJOR DEALERS. THANKS."

"I have had the car since 05. This "qwirky" car had a bad design run from 05-07. Issues with sulfur oder accelerating. Transmission issue and very soft breaking system. All redone for 08 model. Now issues with emissions system on car talking with GA emmisions system. Dealer said Toyota can not keep up with GA emmision regulations. Have to test emissions old sckool way that has been done away with in GA."

"My 2005 Avalon failed in all the large areas; the stereo pre-amp failed so that the car would not start. The air conditioner failed so that the car stopped running. The engine failed. Car was towed 6 times."

"We are a tall family and the car has major leg room. The reclining seats in the back are a great idea. The interior is incredible. Lexus ES350 fully loaded is less then the Avalon Limited. Exterior style on the Lexus is sleeker but the interior on the Avalon is better. Lexus makes the top half of the dash gray..no matter what color interior you choose. Simple put the Avalon is a well balanced package. I am considering buying another."

"I love this car. limited avalon has every thing you could want and more . I like it more than the maxima azera and acura tl. you pay more for dependabilty than others. the lexus es and avalon clash in price so toyota need to do something about that. 33.000 price for both add navigation and other optiona and 40.000 for a toyota is a bit much but i thinks it worth it."

"This car is pretty much a letdown. The transmission doesn't know what gear it should be in. There is to much steering feed back and corrective steering needed. The armrest are to low if the seat height is set a little high. If it is the top of the line toyota why is it not advertisied like the rest of the toyota's. The interior options and features are very good though. I do not recommed this car at all...."
