"Purchased this XLE Hybrid new in August 2012, presently showing 40,250 kms. Many dealer visits from squeaky sunroof to (as my dealer says "wonky" heater) to headlight bulbs failing (3rd set) to Unknown?? Last trip to the dealer was on a flat bed, vehicle died backing out of my driveway, all systems VSA. Bad electronics (so they say) re-flashed system, so far so good. 4th Camry, probably my last, I usually clock 85,000 kms per year and they just don't seem to be as good and trouble free as the earlier ones, too bad because when it runs properly it's a pleasure to drive and very comfortable."

"Bought my Camry hybrid in January and have been driving it for almost 3 months/1400 miles. Mileage has been impressive, but it does depend a lot on your driving habits. I've ranged from 37 to 44 per tank travelling the same routes. If you reallty pay attention you can achieve well over 40 mpg, but if you're in D.C. traffic like me then you can't always just focus on mileage without irritating other drivers. Hard not to though as it has become a game to see how long I can go without making the gas engine kick on! Seat comfort is so-so, I've owned several new and used cars and this is by far the least comfortable of them all as far as the driver's seat goes. Steering and braking is just ok as well, with a sort of jerky feel while trying to steer or brake - difficult to do either smoothly. Cabin noise is really low for most part but I do find I need to turn up the radio at highway speeds. Overall not too bad of a sound system. Acceleration is good considering its a hybrid. Plenty of power for a sedan, just don't expect to beat too many people off the line and you won't be disappointed. Although trying to move from a dead stop/stop light just on battery is extremely slow and will definitely annoy those behind you. I've read several reviews where people complain about the touch screen on the center console, but compared to other touch screens I've tried I'd say it's just as good and the buttons are easy enough to operate. I think most of the complaints are from people that haven't used them before and just aren't used to them. My only complaint is the ENTUNE feature - it's free for the first 3 years but then you have to buy a subscription. Not gonna happen Toyota! Trunk space is not bad. Wish there was better access through the back seats as the batteries block most of it. My only maintenance complaint so far is the cabin heater. It has been malfunctioning for the last 500 miles so I'll be bringing it in to get fixed. Kind of annoying for a new car, especially a Toyota. Otherwise all is good!"

A Smooth, Economical and Depedable Ride!

"For years I've driven a Camry for its comfort and dependability. I sure liked how economical my wife's Prius was, though. When it came time to purchase a new car, I was torn between comfort and economy. And then I discovered that I could have both and at such a reasonable price! I've long been sold on Toyota's reliability. Toyota's industry-leading technology manifests itself in this nice-size hybrid. It's a smooth AND inexpensive ride. Try it--you'll love it!"

"Wow. This car is more than I expected. People were suprised when I said this is what I wanted with having three children. But they all fit in just fine with one car seat and two booster seats. They love this car. It is quiet, roomy, and economical. I just filled up after 508 miles of city driving!!! Love my 2012 Camry Hybrid XLE."

"We are enjoying our new Camry Hybrid even more than we thought we would. We're still in the process of learning how to drive it to maximize the mileage as t is a different drive than our previous (and dearly loved) 8-year old Prius. It is a very smooth drive. The interior is great and it is a comfy ride. We really like the counsel design and it is one reason we chose it over the new Prius, which has a swoopy new design for its counsel."

"I was looking for a reliable and more luxurious car to replace a 02? Saturn L300 that ended up being DOA to repair shop and stayed DOA after examination. The new Camry body style and add features was a significant upgrade from my previous car. The car is a little larger, has a very smooth ride, and handles very nicely around turns. The seats are comfortable and visibility out the windows is much better. The ?Blind Spot? alert system works very well. The hybrid mileage is as advertised and I have been getting close to this mileage. This is my first Hybrid and it takes some time to modify your driving habit to take full advantage of the Hybrid system?s benefits. There is a lot of leg room in the back seat and this works well, since my brothers are all well over 6 feet tall. Plenty of head room and the 6 way driver seat provides penalty of adjustments. Accelerates very well and the brakes are strong and stops the car quickly. I am still learning how to use all the Nav/electronic systems that come with the car. All in all a very well built vehicle, lots of upgrades and a pleasure to drive."

Surprisingly Good in Winter Road Conditions

"Have owned a 2012 Camry Hybrid XLE for a month now. Nothing negative to report, no bad surprises, which given the millions of Camry's out there is about what any of us would expect. As a positive surprise, I was really excited about how well the hybrid drives on slippery, slushy, snow- or ice-covered winter streets and freeways. In the Twin Cities, we get up to 4 months a year of such, and the Camry Hybrid is a star. The regenerative systems slow the car better than a "traditional internal combustion engine", and that's before the ABS and Traction Control do their stuff. MPG - I'm getting upper 30's when its cold and on short trips, and low 40's when its warmed up. Would recommend in a heartbeat."
