"I bought this car new in 20005 and I have driven it all over the eastern US. It is fabulous. The only issue is rear visibility. When the top is up you have to use side mirrors to back up!"

"I bought this car for my son. It is used, with 65k miles. The previous owner took excellent care of it and kept it very clean. We are very happy with the purchase experience via cars.com. Thanks so much for the great selection. I will recommend this site to everyone and go here again if I need another vehicle in the future."

"Bought a Black, one owner, certified 06 Solara SLE Convertible with 31000 miles on it. Room for 4 adults, excellent trunk space with top down (unlike the hardtop of Chrysler & Volvo) and Toyota reliablity. Driven it about 4000 miles since June 2011. No problems, no worries, great ride."

"I have probably owned over 30 cars (no, I'm not a dealer just a car junky), and though I'm typically not a fan of Toyota, this car has been a great car. Its comfortable, has smooth acceleration with good power, well executed interior and gets good gas mileage for a V6. Again, though this was not my typical type of car (Mercedes / Volvo/SUV/Truck/Sports Car) it has been a pleasure to own."

"This car is pretty to look at and its quiet and comfortable to ride in even with the top down. It has ample interior room for four adults and more than adequate trunk space. The model's discontinued and owners tend to hang on to them so I was lucky to find a low mileage example. The car has been a hit with everyone who's been in it. I can't think of any complaints. I've had it a couple of months now and it "just works"."

"I purchased my 2006 Solara Convertible in February 2011. It is white with a black top. I use it for fun, commuting, and anything else that requires me to drive. Prior to this purchase, I had a 2002 Solara Coupe that I purchased new in June 2002 and sold in January 2011. I am no stranger to the Toyota Solara. I love my convertible. So far, it is very reliable. I expect nothing less from Toyota. In my lifetime, I have owned 3 Toyotas and this is the 1st that I bought used. That's how reliable and trouble free these cars are to me. I have reached 200,000 miles on my first 2 without any problems. So far, this car deserves 5 stars in each category. To be honest with my experience, I rated performance slightly lower for 2 reasons. 1) The soft top makes it easier to hear outside noise. It sounds like a window is down. THIS IS ONLY NOTICABLE WHEN DRIVING WITHOUT ANY MUSIC OR TALKING. Don't let this deter you from a purchase. If you listen to music (of course, normal level not teenage level), you will not notice any difference in cabin noise than riding in a hardtop Solara coupe or other Toyota car. 2) The ride seems to be a little more shaky than the coupe. Bumps in the road seem to rattle/shimmer the car more in the convertible than in my coupe. Honestly, I notice it but I don't care. I love this car more than my other 2 cars. On a side note, I changed my tires 2 weeks after purchasing the car and I believe that has an impact to my ride experience. I remember some shake with the original tires but I didn't have those tires on long enough to remember. For me, I am so happy with this purchase. If something happened to this car, I would search the entire USA for another one. By the way, there were only 12 available in white within 500 miles when I made my purchase. There were 52 available in all color combinations within my 500 mile radius. That should let you know that people hold on to the Solara! Good luck with your search! You won't regret this car!"

"I had this car for 4 years and I spent over 10,000 dollars on it in the first 2 months I had two replace both the headlights and all four of the hubcaps. I had to replace the top because the rear window fell out on the freeway . so unless your willing to pay tons of money don't buy this car."
