"This car got me from point A to point B. That's about as exciting as it gets with the 1995 Camry. I had a 1995 Toyota CAMRY XLE V6. I thought that Toyota Camrys were reliable and dependable. I couldn't have been any more wrong. I always did regular matienence and tune ups, oil changes, breaks, etc. I was driving it the other week and my steering went out completly. The car couldn't drive. I took it to the mechanic, whom I trust and is a family friend. He told me that I have an oil leak, power steering leek, transmission problems, engine problems, i'll need a CV joint boot, power steering fluid, several pumps, a new exhaust...I was dumbfounded. I wouldn't suggest buying a Toyota Camry between the 1992-1996 model year. There have been several reports, most notably through Harvard University that outlines the problems in Georgetown, Kentucky where most of the Camrys were made. Some were also made in Japan but I'm not sure about their reliability, I can also speak for the American made Camrys made in Kentucky. The vehicle is also idling high, it never gave me too many problems but all of the problems listed above are common in 92-96 Camrys. Also those problems are found in 1990-1996 Lexus ES cars."

"I still drive my 1995 Camry and love it!! Has 115,000 miles on it and only thing that was needed was a reconditioned starter a few years ago. Other than that, regular oil changes, new tires, new brakes. Very reliable vehicle and hate to give it up. Looking at possibly leasing a new car but having trouble giving up my Camry."

"This was the last year that the Camry shared the drive train and body with the Luxus ES 300 with the reasult that it rides like a luxury car. However, I have had an incredible number of problems costing about $4,000. As an example the CV joint boots failed after a few years, a problem I have never had with another car. But never the less it is great riding car."

"Never been disappointed by any of the Toyotas I've owned. This is no exception. Excellent car. Plenty of power, lots of room for two child seats, huge trunk, 4 wheel disc brakes are great. Well refined vehicle, first class all the way."

"I have owned my Camry for almost 10 years. This car is an unbelievable value, very reliable, and a quiet, smooth ride. I only occasionally have to repair it, every couple of years. The only annoying repair was a head gasket which costs more for the labor than for the part. Otherwise, this vehicle wore beautifully. The trunk space allows me to schlep all kinds of gardening supplies across town, and the interior is roomy and comfortable. I can't imagine a better car and am loathe to let this one go!"
