"Toyota for 2012, did away with the standard cable/spring connection to the accelerator. It was replaced by a computer .That was a BIG mistake. There is now a delay from accelerator depression to a response., which can take anywhere from 3-8 seconds after braking before the car speeds up. That is ridiculous, and just long enough, for someone to slam into the back of you. No one has time on an expressway, for a computer to decide to accelerate..! Has ANYONE else experienced this obvious safety hazard?"

"The Camry SE 2012 was my first car. She drives beautifully on all type of weather situations. The structure to the car from inside and out are spectacular. It is a very nice modern and high tech vehicle in which you have everything right under your finger tips. Besides the car being more than what I could believe it to be, my dealer was very helpful as well. He was over all comforting and humble; not like the other salesman at other dealers. I am fully satisfied with my Camry. Thank you South Dade Toyota."

Very good in town but very noisy at highway speeds

"Bought a 2012 XLE 4-cylinder with Michelin Primacy MXV4s. Had to get a 4-cylinder because all of the V-6 models came only with the horrible Bridgestone Turanzas. Overall, a very nice car if your primary use is getting around town. Although the exterior design is average in my opinion, the cabin design is very thoughtful and elegant in the XLE trim, beating a few of the Lexus models, which is a rarity for Toyota. In the first 6 months, the car has had a few minor quality quirks, most of which were fixed, but some of which remain unsolved, such as an annoying bird chirping noise when the A/C is on. The biggest negative about this car is the excessive tire and wind noise when traveling on a highway above 55 mph. The car feels that it has little to none sound insulation. For instance, if you are going around 80 mph and have your radio on, you will hardly hear the contents on the radio, and the combination of all of the noises will give you such a headache that you would want to stop and take a train/plain instead. Now, the excessive road noise makes me rent cars for extensive highway trips. Gas mileage has been just ok too, averaging little over 20mpg in town, and little over 30mpg on highways. I will probable have to replace with car with something more powerful and quieter."

"I love this car. I fell in love with it instantly I bought the attitude black, it is beautiful with little specs of navy blue. The interior is a mix of leather and fabric.I traded in my scion XB 2005 for this beauty, and i am so glad that I did even if Roseville Toyota didnt give me my costco membership discount.. =("

"Great car! Didn't like the style of the 2010 & 2011 the lights in the back were ugly and still are. But the 2012 is super crazy! Just love the all new design, touch screen and the color I chose (magnetic gray) is super hot! I have graduated from my 93 camry, which i was still driving to the 2012."

"Sold 2003 Camry, bought 2012 new Camry le. The lines are classy and more stylish. The toyota care and warranty is great, Mileage 25/30. Changed the auto gears from 2003, touch radio-ipad charger, lights on dash for D R etc. Interior color is awesome. I cannot say enough about my new purchase and also want to give a shout out to Toyota of Rock Hill, in S.C. a dealer that met every one of my needs and price for the Toyotathan special on their 2012 Camrys."

"We have had a 1992, 2002 and now a 2012 Toyota Camry. We have been very happy with our Camry's and aren't disappointed in our new 2012 XLS. We could have easily kept the 2002, which has had very low overall routine maintanence costs for 175,000 miles, but would have had to put some money into it for repairs (catalytic converter, oxygen sensor, new tires). We got a great deal on the 2012 and got some additional features and improved gas mileage."

"I have had my Camry for about 5 months and have driven over 8K miles. Around 1500 miles a cracking sound appeared when hitting certain uneven road bumps. I certainly hope the dealer will be able to find the noise and correct it. I am afraid from looking at other consumer comments concerning similar noises resulting from the sun roof that I may be forced to live with the noise. I would caution purchase of a sun roof. Since I purchases a V6 XLE I had to choice since it is standard equipment. Other than this issue it appears to be a good car but the cheap plastic is a turn off."
