"First of all, the gas mileage is amazing. I'm averaging roughly 35 miles per gallon (about 400 miles, give or take, on about every 11 gallons) The front area is pretty comfortable. The back seat seems like it offers minimal leg room, as has been previously mentioned numerous times. I'm not really bothered by that though, since I drive the car. I've found that the gas and brake pedals are a little bit more sensitive than what I'm used to, but that's probably because I'm generally used to driving bigger cars. As time has passed, I've found that I'm getting used to them. Although, from time to time the car jumps and jerks a little on me. Overall, I'm exceptionally satisfied with the car."

"Bought my car new in January 2004, and it is still going strong (knock on wood). I only have had to replace the front brakes. I get 25-30 MPG in the city, and 35-40 on the highway. I also bought 4 winter tires, and had them permanently mounted on wheels. This will be my sixth winter, and probably my last, for this set. I also had a front strut brace installed, for a little more stability. This car is rock solid, and should last for a long time. It's nice to have a reliable car, and not have to spend a lot of money to keep it going."

"Bought a 2004 Corolla used with 60,000 miles on it. So far I have had to replace the manual window regulator ($300), completely replace the manual transmission and clutch (partly covered by warranty, but 1500 out of pocket) and now the check engine light is on. I am dreading what is in store. The driver seat is incredibly uncomfortable. Gas mileage is great, but the rest of the car has been a major disapointment."

"Just bought a used corolla with 60K miles. So far it has really lived up to its reputation. The drive is very smooth and quiet, except at higher highway speeds when it can get sort of loud. I have a manual, that shifts smoothly. I have found that shifting early in the rpm range is easy and makes shifting smoother and more efficient. I am getting about 38mpg in mixed driving but I pay attention to gas mileage while driving, so that is probably the higher end of MPG range. Overall, very happy with it."

"What I wanted was a reliable, worry free car and that is what I got. I haven't had any issues with this car and it is incredibly fuel efficient. I'll get between 35-41 mpg on the hwy and 30+/- in the city. The interior is a little loud but its an excellent trade off to have a car that you never have to take to the shop. I'm very satisfied with this car and recommend it highly."

"When considering a car, I wanted safety to be my top priority. I must say that the Corolla makes me feel very safe. I like that the seats are a little higher than other cars I have driven so I don't feel like I am sitting on the pavement. This is excellent for shorter drivers. I agree with the expert reviewer that the acceleration can be a bit slow, but I have never felt unsafe accelerating from 0-60 entering the highway before. I love my Corolla, and I plan to have it for many many years!"

"This car is uncomfortable to drive for extended periods of time. Fuel Economy is great, I average about 35mpg mixed driving and up to 41mpg if I really think about what I am doing. Handling isn't that great the body really rolls. The engine is ok performance wise for a 4 cylinder but the low end torque is ridiculous, a little bit of rain which is common in Washington and it is spinning the tires which for some people might be cool but its more annoying than cool. Exterior is actually quite nice. Its been very reliable like most Toyota's tend to be. For not being a fan of Toyota's its a pretty good vehicle, they just need to work on their comfort to make it better around town."

"It is the best car in its category for the money. We took it on a 2 week / 5,500 miles trip through rain, snow and heat; it kept us cozy and safe. I would buy it again if this one retires."
