Consumer Reviews
"Pros: - good gas mileage - nice exterior styling - smooth & comfortable ride - comfortable & stylish seats - dash w/ trip computer and mph measurements - quiet and smooth shifting auto transmission - adjustable steering wheel & seat height - aux jack for MP3 players - clear stereo sound with surprisingly sufficient bass. - non-intrusive but extremely useful traction control and ABS (standard!). - quiet & ample power from 1.8 Litre engine - overall, as an ECONOMY CAR offers value. Cons: - OEM tires are marginal. When replaced with higher quality, then ride, cornering & stopping greatly improve. i sold off OEM tires @ 13K miles to a young chap that had bald tires on his clunker. Bought Yokohama YK580 from Discount Tire. Much better. In all, it's a reliable, stylish, comfortable, fuel efficient commuter car. It is peppy enough to comfortably handle highways and the transmission is quiet and smooth (significantly better than Ford, GM, or Chrysler offerings). I've owned my 2010 LE from 1/26/11 bought new and it has treated me well."

"Just bought a (certified)used 2010 Corolla LE. Overall I'm very satisfied with this car. I did a TON of research before buying and comon sence was the deciding factor. It's got everything I desire in a commuter car. Power windows/locks, cruise, heated mirrors, great stereo, good looks, great handling. Best of all I'm averaging 34 mpg combined!! The only negative I've got is legroom. But, I'm 6/4 size 15 shoe. That's to be expected. Luckily I found a website to extend my seat back 4 inches(200 bucks though) it will be worth it. I've owned 2 camry's(190k/210k mi.)and my last car was a 92 Lexus ls400(250k). My goal will be to go past 250k on this little baby. There's a reason why it's one of the best selling cars in the world...Toyota rules!!"

"I previously drove a Toyota Camry. I come from a Toyota family. My dad has a Camry, & my mom has a Venza. The Corolla is cuter, zippier, & gets more miles to the gallon than the Camry."

"I'll break this down in pros and cons: Pros: - good gas mileage - nice exterior styling - comfortable ride - comfortable & stylish seats (S interior) - clean and clear dash w/ trip computer and mph measurements - quiet and smooth shifting auto transmission - adjustable leather steering wheel w/ radio controls - aux jack for MP3 players - clear sound with surprisingly sufficient bass (6 speaker, non-JBL system) - non-intrusive but extremely useful traction control and ABS (standard!) Cons: - mediocre performance from small engine - hard plastics on commonly touched surfaces (armrests) - OEM tires are pretty bad in rain after ~32,000 miles - overall, not a thrilling ride In all, it's a reliable, stylish, comfortable, fuel efficient commuter car. It is peppy enough to comfortably handle highways and the transmission is quiet and smooth (significantly better than Ford, GM, or Chrysler offerings). I've owned my 2010 S for over 3 years and it has treated me extremely well."

"We bought the 2010 Corolla LE with 25,000 miles on it. We test drove a Honda Civic, Hyundai Elantra, Nissan Sentra, and a Ford Focus. This car had the least road noise out of all the aforementioned cars. I researched cars for about 1 month before we made the purchase. We were actually going to the dealer to test drive a 2011 Nissan Sentra but neither one of us felt that the build quality was up to par. After test driving a Civic that we didn't like, the salesman brought a Corolla around for us to test drive. I hadn't even looked at Corollas but all it took is one test drive and we were sold! THis car has all the features we need and a huge trunk for cargo storage. There is a reason this car is the best selling vehicle in the world. I highly recommend this car!"

"My Toyota Corolla is a pleasure to drive, and anyone who's borrowed it has agreed. In two years, I've never had to take it to the shop for anything other than regular oil changes. It's very efficient and quiet, too. Only a few small flaws. My husband is tall and finds it a little cramped for him. It also has very low clearance off the ground, making it impractical in deep snow (which my previous car, a Chevy, could just eat up). Also, the back seats do fold down to make the trunk bigger, but they don't fold down flat enough to really take advantage of this feature. Other than that, though, this is a great car and I love to drive it!"

"I more or less bought this car because I had to. I was in the middle of a move cross country. The vehicle I owned was totaled. I needed a car to complete the move. I had neither the time, money, or inclination to go shopping for a new car or fuss around with a car loan. The corolla was available. The dealership was within walking distance to my previous home. And the price was right after the insurance company gave me the check for my totaled vehicle. In the past I owned large, luxury cars. However, I must admit this is a good little car. All the criticisms I read about the corolla I agree with. The steering has little feeling. The car squeaks and rattles. The interior looks cheap etc. . In spite of this, I like this car. It is reliable as heck, and it gets excellent gas mileage. It looks o.k. too. I think the car is a good value for the money. I have owned it now for 2 1/2 years. . After I got settled in my new home I was going to trade it in for a larger car. Instead I decided to put larger rims and tires on it to improve the ride. I also put simulated wood in the interior to make the car more palatable to me. Some day I will probably trade up because I prefer more room and luxury. But for now I am content with my corolla. The morale of the story for me is that if one prefers a large, luxury car then the corolla is not for you. But for $14,000 I think it is a good if not great car."

"Have owned XLE model for 10 months. Replaced a 97 Camry, which was an outstanding car, so it had some big shoes to fill. Car is quiet, solid, and handles well. Fuel economy is about the same as the old Camry, 26-28 in mixed town/freeway driving, and 34 straight highway, which is good, but I thought it might be a smidge better, since it's lighter and has a smaller engine. Have had no problems with it, completely reliable. I like the styling, exterior and interior. Seats are comfortable for long trips. Gauges and controls are simple and easy to use. Especially like the optional automatic climate control, with thermostat temperature setting. Only complaints are location of clock, which is too low for easy viewing, and ride can get a little choppy over washboard roads. Otherwise, great car."
