"The best family Hauler with all necessary comforts and convinience. Purchased brand new SE. I did an extensive research specifically for mid-size SUV'S and ultimately settled with Highlander. Excellent on Highways as well as on in-roads. Average fuel ecocomy on in roads is about 21.5 mpg and on highway with cruise control, it reaches to almost 25.00 mpg which is really great for the size and volume the Highlander has. Only the cons is less storage space on using the third row seat otherwise an excellent vehicle with fully loaded features. Ultimately its legendary Toyota Quality which I guess will prove itself for many years to come. In short, very awesomeSUV."

"I really love the Toytota Highlander. I do alot of highway miles for my job and traded in a 2007 Nissan Murano which was not comfortable on the long trips. I have driven 10,000 miles in 3 months and would recommend this vehichle highly. The seat is comfortable in the limited version with back support and leg support. The three rows are great for sitting the kids in the very back. The middle row can move forward to provide additional leg room for the third row. The nav system is great as well as the sound system. I get about 24 mpg on the hwy. Acceleration is great and the ride is great. This is about the 30th car I have owned (alot I know) this is the best vehichle I ever owned. I also like the free oil changes and tire rotation that comes with the vehichle."

"We bought a 2011 Highlander and love it. We needed 3 rows of seating and like the way this car was laid out. The kids bucket seats which make it easy to get to the third row. It drives very well and gas mileage is good for this size car."

Very Comfortable Vehicle

"Have had several suvs and a minivan in the past 10 years. A Chevy Tahoe, BMW X5, (2) Nissan Muranos, Honda CRV, plus a Honda Oddesy minivan. The Highlander is the most comfortable of all of the suvs, and almost as comfortable as the Oddesy. It is more fuel efficient than all except the CRV which is of course a 4 cyl. vs the 6 cyl in the Highlander. This vehicle is very versatile due to it's size, and has very adaptable interior configurations. The Highlander is a nice blend of a full size sedan, a suv, and a minivan. We really like it."

"This has been a good car so far - the only complaint is when my kids have to sit in the third row, they say it's a little cramped."

"Overall very pleased with car and purchase. Provides excellent value in terms of ride, saftey, comfort and packaging. Overall, gas mileage between 18-23 depending on mix. Can't go wrong with this vehicle, when comparing to smaller SUV's or competition like Chevy, Honda and Ford. If you have a big family with 3 or more kids, Chevy or Honda are good choices in that order."

"Had to replace my long lived, long loved 4Runner and didn't care all that much for the new one. Checked out the Edge and the new Explorer as well a few others in this class. While, initially, the Highlander appeared a bit generic the more I drive it, the more I love it. I now know I made the right choice."

"There is something wonderful about the 2011 Highlander. I'm not sure what it is, but it is just about perfect. I've had the opportunity to drive the Highlander on several occasions. Something about the smooth ride, quick engine, and overall storage capacity makes for an amazing vehicle. Here are my Pros and Cons: Pros: Everything Cons: ~Price: To get the limited package you're going to spend some big bucks. My advise: get the SE- it'll give you what you need without killing your pockets.. Sorry so short: I really love the Highlander. I can't wait until it fits into my price range."

"I've only owned it for 3 months and 4k miles, but I don't have any complaints. It has awesome pickup, handles as well, or better, as any SUV I've owned, is very comfortable, gets better gas mileage than advertised, and the dealer I deal with is very responsive (Fairfax Toyota). I wish it had another 6 inches of room behind the 3rd seat and a few more storage areas (like under the front seats), and I'm not thrilled with the look of the headlight covers, but those are the only things I'm not thrilled with - everything else about the car is awesome. I intend to keep it as long as possible - 8-10 on most of my cars so far, so I'll try and remember to update this in a couple of years."

"The Highlander is stylish and roomy for my family of 4 that always totes around extra kids or extended family members. It's sporty enough for my husband to tote the kids and still feel cool when he hangs out with the fellas. I love the space and the pickup speed. It's good on gas and rides smoothly. I can't wait for my first long distance road trip!"
