Consumer Reviews
"I traded in our six-year old Camry Hybrid for Prius V to get the new entertainment features (i love hd radio) and because i liked the higher seating. Driver seat comfort and entry/exit is my favorite part of owning this car, far better than the Camry. I like that the driver seat is NOT power, making it a superfast adjustment from my wife's position. The front seats are perfect for me, at 5-11" and 190lb.and very, very comfortable (never any driving fatigue). I am still getting used to driving this car and almost feel like it is adapting to me. My wife and I both drive it and have averaged 47 mpg, but that requires slow take-offs. Last night we did a 50mile flat roundtrip with four in the car and logged 54 mpg. We like the quiet, smooth running but camry had better visibility and a more compliant suspension. My hope is that steering doesn't get loose over bumps like it did with the camry after 4-5 years. Otherwise reliability has been excellent."

"I have owned a Toyota Prius for 2 years. I was so excited when I learned that Toyota was "super sizing" the Prius. We travel quite a bit and I do agility trials with my dog so cargo space is important. We finalized the deal on our "V" in late August. Great choice, love my new car!! Attention to detail on the interior is fatastic. It's hard to believe how much more room I now have. There are so many great features. I highly recommend this vehicle."

"Went shopping for a Prius and was hesitant about the smaller size and cargo space. When the salesman told me about the Prius v, I was immediately intrigued. A wagon Prius? Sounds too good to be true! Six weeks later, I am crazy about the car, especially the 42 mpg I average! The price was great, I've got plenty of room, very comfortable, and loaded with extras and modern styling. So far, really the best car I've ever purchased."

"You're not buying a luxury vehicle here, although many of the features suggest that. The leather-like seats are very nice, and I've already used the seat-heaters - very effective! The "media center" is impressive, and the voice-command is accurate and cool. The inside room is great - I move equipment, and everything that used to fit in my Rav 4 fits in the Prius v - a big selling point for me. The seats are adjustable, and very comfortable. Not luxury comfort, but good, solid comfort. Visability from the driver's seat is good; no overt blind spots. I like the garage opener buttons. I got the pearl white paint, and it's very nice. The pick up is ok, but not stellar. Then again, you're buying it for the mileage, not because it gets up to 100 in 3 seconds. Overall, I really like this vehicle, which I can't say about all vehicles I've owned before. "Value for the money" would have been 5 stars, if I didn't think all cars were overpriced to begin with."

"Comfortable with adequate interior space, didn't expect the exterior to be to flashy. Leather is very cushy and nice, Solar Sun Roof is a nice feature 53 GPM on the Hiway, lovin that. 43 GPM going from Sea Level to 8000' in altitude."

"I drive on average 32,000 miles a year, so spend a lot of time in my car--mostly highway miles in central Illinois and up and back to Chicago. Have had a 2004 and a 2009 Prius, both sold with over 100,000 miles each. Just purchased the Prius V and was worried about losing the 50 MPG I got in my 2009 Prius. The V added a lot of space and I'm averaging @ 47 MPG on my normal commutes--central Illinois flat highways. Best tank/trip so far 49 MPG. Took it to New Orleans with 4 adults, 4 very large stuffed suitcases, a cooler and assorted carry-ons and got 40 MPG. My husband drove (he's 6'3" and was very comfortable) and he did not favor the car or try to get better mileage in any way. Love the new GPS--much more user friendly than the old system. Have not used the Toyota Entune, yet, because my cellphone won't sync. Will be updating phone in a month and hope to try it then."

"I was one of those people that used to make fun of people driving a Prius! Well look at me now!! I'm 6'4" so I needed a vehicle that was comfortable with lots of storage. The Prius V does that and then some! I have plenty of room and the comfort surpasses everything that I test drove, and I test drove SEVERAL vehicles! I think the Prius V has a very stylish look with a futuristic design on the inside. I have just over 3,000 miles on the car now and average 47 mpg, mostly highway driving!! Pretty awesome seeing that the EPA rating puts it at 44/40. I have never owned a Toyota before so I was a bit hesitant but after the first test drive, I was hooked! If you are looking for a comfortable ride with lots of storage and great mpg, BUY IT!!"

"We currently have a 2002 Toyota Sequoia with 180000 mi. on it. We were looking to purchase a car that got better fuel mi. we looked at the smaller suvs, but decided that they were just smaller versions of our Sequoia and that the difference in fuel mi. was not much different. Of all the cars that advertise 40mpg+, the Toyota Prius V met our needs, and we shopped for about 3 mos. Our Prius V package 3 has gotten 43 mpg ave. in all driving conditions, it is roomy for its size, drives good handles good. Acceleration is not zippy, and radio volume knob is hard to grab a hold of. We bought it July 19, 2012 have 3100 miles on it now, and so far it has performed to our expectations."
