"This is a really functional car. I got 0% financing for three years. Maintenance coverage for two years. The brake pads I am told will last approximately 100, 000 miles. The $4000.00 battery is warrantied for 100, 000 miles. The only thing I would recommend toToyota would be to offer more options like sunroof, ac seats, heated steering wheel etc. They would then steal even more buyers away from luxury car's. I get 42 miles per gallon driving in the economy mode overall. I would like to mention I drive fast and even have a radar detector hard wired into the car. The big selling point for me was this car sets itself apart from all other cars due to the fantastic fuel mileage and HOV lane option."

"Bought the 2013 Prius 2 in Phoenix a month ago (4/13) and then drove to the east coast loaded to the max with luggage and stayed at 70mph whenever on 4 lanes which was 95% of the time. Zero problems and still got 49mpg as measured by actual gas used. Once home with about 85% country roads I've been getting 51 easily. The on- board computer is reasonably accurate. Overall this is an absolute gem of a car and in making the decision to buy I was heavily influenced by the consumer reviews which were overwhelmingly very positive."

"Am confused about how to drive to get the best mileage. Hopefully that will be more clear after I drive on the highway. Have not done that yet. I like the look and comfort of the Prius."

"This is my 2nd Prius. My first was a 2007 which now has 101,000 miles. Reliabilty has been very good. The good: Nicer ride Heated seats Power seats USB connection The not so good: The Nav and Audio systems perfrom very well. Unfortunately, the user interface needs work. There is way too much button pushing which leads to increased driver distraction. For example, to bring up the Nav system, you must first push the "Apps button" on the right side of the display (very distracting to reach accross). You then press: Map Confirm the "Caution" screen Wait for Nav screen to load Press the Dest button Press the Start button The Audio system is also over complicated."

"I bought this car for the gas mileage, I have only had it a little over a week so it is too early for a true accessment of the car but on my first tank of gas I got 56+ mpg on over 500 miles. So far on the 2nd tank it looks better, to early to gas up yet!"

"After owning a 2006 Prius with great satisfaction, we decided to add a second one to the family fleet. Generation 3 is a slightly different car from our old one that now has 137,000 miles on it. It gets better gas mileage and gives options for driving with economy or with power. The interior is different - the controls work better and the displays are more complicated but interesting. The biggest difference is the addition of electronics that include Nav at a lower trim level, satellite radio, and something called Entune that uses smart phone connection to the internet to do apps such as traffic, weather, Bing. There have been some problems with the electronics which have suffered from total system crashes. I am told that this is Apple's problem with iOS 6. Driving is comfortable and pleasurable. It handles well in town and on long trips. We bought a level 3 car and had leather and heated seats added by the dealer. Much better finish than the fake leather on the upper level cars. Just the position of the heat switches (on the side of the seats) is an improvement over Toyota's design. And I was particularly pleased when I compared my invoices of our two Priuses. I paid less for the new one than the old - the difference between relative gas prices then and now and the time of year (winter vs. spring). We plan to keep both cars for many years. The old one has been problem free. Low cost of ownership even when one considers the add price of the hybrid system."
