"First off, ours is a 5-speed manual, and we get about 44MPG on the highway. Second, we can park this car *anywhere*. I've maneuvered it into parallel parking spaces 2-3 inches bigger than the car--not kidding or exaggerating. The comfort is not the same as a posh SUV or even the dreaded and ubiquitous Camry, but we took a 1400-mile road trip in it last summer (including some camping), and we were comfortable. We're just a couple of urbanites, so our apartment is small, too, and we value being able to get a lot into a small space. Our Yaris hatchback has this in spades. Excellent driving, holds its own on the highway, great for city cruising, and perfect for those tiny parking spaces no one else can use. Plus we have a good sound system! We would buy this car again in an instant, no doubt about it. It would even work for a small family car, if you're good at planning."

"I love my Yuri. (My friends named him... I promise!) i bought him in Wisconsin and used him to travel around the state visiting family and the seven mile trip to work, school, home, groceries... The fuel efficiency is great. I drove from Madison to Indianapolis and from Madison to Elsah, IL both on one tank. Last month, I loaded him up and drove to Alaska. Sleeping became a little complicated as I couldn't recline my seat, but he was a trooper climbing the mountains while loaded with my stuff. MPG went down a little, but I found I could still drive over 300 miles to the tank. The heat warms up quickly. The air cools off quickly. I love the extra little storage spaces. I love the turning radius (great for turning around when parked on the neighborhood street!). My six foot tall father is comforatable in the backseat, though he says he can feel everything during the trip as it sits on the wheel base. My only regret with a two door car is not being able to open the back windows when it's a beautiful day. It takes longer to circulate the air. The controls in the middle takes some getting used to but as another reviewer said, now it is awkward when driving another car with the controls in front of me. I love everything about my Yuri!"

"The Yaris is a fun car to drive. For such a tiny engine, it is a quick little car. The AC is cold, and the seats are comfortable. And most important feature is, in the city, with the AC on, it is getting 33.3 mpg(39 hwy). It has a decent factory sound system, pwr windows & door locks, and after driving it nearly 2 months, it's like the old song by QUEEN, "I'm In Love With My Car". I highly recommend this car. (btw, this is my 8th Toyota)"

"I got the 4 door sedan, 5 speed manual as my first car. I would honestly have to say, this car is amazing for a first car. I've gotten it up to 86xxx miles now and has been nothing but reliable since day 1. Since im cheap, i got the base model with no door locks, power windows, or power mirrors. I do hear a lot of people complain about how the dash is in an awkward place, but you really do get used to it, in fact it feels awkward looking so far down in normal cars to read the speedometer. As long as you take car of this car, it will get you from point A to B, which is all that this cheap car was designed to do. By the way, I really recommend lowering the car, because on long highway drives on a windy day, it tends to get blow like a leaf."

"Had the car since day one they came out. For being small and compact it's pretty comfy and not bad. At first I wasn't used to the speedo being in the middle but got used to it and i like it better there.great gas miles averaging 34mpg. Car has never gave me any trouble only had to replace battery and the belt which was time to anyways. I this the car looks good from outside all my friends gave it a nick name spaceship cause it's unusual look, what really separates this car from regular yaris is the lip kit on it And fog lights gives it that sporty look."

"I recently bought the 2007 Toyota Yaris Sedan used and have been driving it for about 3 months now. I've been getting an average of 35 miles to the gallon and most of it was city driving. Handling and performance is what you would expect from a compact car. It's nimble and quick to respond. Pick up is good enough to keep up with traffic conditions. It doesn't seem to mind cruising at 70-75 MPH for long distances. Instrumentation is easy to read, seats are firm, adequately seats my family of 5 and the trunk space is roomy for a compact sedan. I changed the tires that were on it with tires that were more expensive but made the ride a lot more comfortable and less stiff. Overall, I'm very happy with it, especially at the gas pump."

"Great little car. Great gas mileage.. usually right between 38 and 40 MPGs... very reliable. FAST... We have the 4 door automatic and there is a lot of room. More room than we thought.. and the trunk is nice sized for such a small car. We love the IPOD adapter... nice little car and very reliable."
