Consumer Reviews
"This is my second CC. I had the 2011 CC sport traded with 35000 miles (no issues) for 2013 CC Plus. The 2011 had a better sport feeling when the turbo activated I think because the 17 inch tires. The 2013 feels slower than the 2013 however feels more smoother to drive and has better looks. No other maker has a better design exterior and interior for the price to compare with the 2013 CC. I already have the 2013 CC for 7 months and I can say VW did a great job overall since I have not have any issues."

"I have only had the car for a little over a week and I can honestly say the more I drive it, the more I love it. Not only is this car (to me) one of the best looking cars out there but it also drives like a dream! The TSI engine is very torquey and I truly believe it's underrated at 200 HP. I went with the manual simply out of preference after driving the DSG (I love MT's). The interior is well laid out and the design is cohesive: lighing matches throughout and it looks elegant & sporty at the same time: white lighting for the gauges, red lighting for the stereo and options. PROS: - Torquey TSI engine - LED lighting throughout - would highly recommend you get the lighting package - Luxury looks and amenities - Even the standard 17" wheels look great - Interior space is better than expected - I have 2 kids that sit very comfortably in the back - Quiet ride (along with this, see small issue below) - Sound system performance (outstanding) - seamless and very fast iPod integration. - Bluetooth integration works great - HUGE trunk! - MPG is better than rating - this even though the engine is not broken-in yet - Rear seat A/C vents - Rear seat lighting controls from the front & back (a big one for us parents when traveling at night) - Simply looks amazing and stands up in crowd - there are not many out there. CONS: - A week in and the passenger seat is exhibiting some rattling - will have it checked out (this and the turbulence noise takes the star off comfort) - No one has mentioned this and I am peculiar about noises: there is a tiny bit of turbulence noise at specific speeds. I know this is the 'nature of the beast' when having frameless windows but I thought it would be worth mentioning. - WARNING FOR THOSE WANTING A DSG TRANSMISSION: there is an oil change required every 40K miles that is very expensive! Please consider this as part of your cost of ownership. - VW dealerships are somewhat arrogant - it was so bad that I decided to write to VW corporate and had their VP of Communications contact me, hopefully they will work on this. - I know it's a car for the European market but I am missing the Homelink I will update once I have it a bit longer. Surely hope this helps!"

"I had one of these as a test car for about a week. There are a ton of problems with this vehicle and a few good things. First, it is smaller than a mid sized car. It is very hard to get in and get out of even the drivers side. I'm 5'8 and hit be head getting out a number of times. However, the big problem is the motor. While it has acceptable power, it take about 5 seconds for the car to do anything once you hit the gas. In fact it lugs at first, climbs a bit, down shifts and then finally takes off. You never quite know when the motor is going to catch, very unsettling. In addition, even in D, you can feel the car downshift when you come to a stop. This car is really unfriendly when just cruising around town."

"I have the new 2013 CC Lux Plus but opted for the turbo version after renting the CC Sport Plus (which is a turbo). I must say this is the best vehicle I've ever owned - including 1998 BMW M3, Mitsubishi GTO, etc... This car is smokin. After renting the sport plus, we loved it so much - kept the car another week and before returning the rental to Avis (plug) we drove to Volkswagen to lease the Lux with plus options. We were so impressed with the look and feel but also the economy that the turbo provides. The turbo has that continual torque feel that is more typical to a naturally aspirated vehicle. Everywhere we go we get asked how we like it by those in the know but on the fence, and the CC is a head-turner during the day (always mistaken for an S-Class Mercedes) and at night (all vehicles yield out of the way). I have NEVER felt so good about a car, and this coming from an M3 owner... I place this car above VW's Audi line-up, especially considering the price. :)"

"I took delivery of a 2013 CC Sport Plus in June after shopping for months/years. I am one of those individuals that always looks and looks and never pulls the trigger. I probably drove and/or researched every car priced from 30 - 50K to find my next car. I previously drove a 2004 3 Series that I really loved. I was perfectly content with it and frankly there was nothing out there that made me get rid of it...until I met the new CC. Exterior styling speaks for itself and really sticks out in a crowd. LED running lights on the sport plus package along with 18" wheels really makes it look sharp. I like the updated square LED lights in the rear as opposed to the previous year's round lights. Inside is simple, well laid out and full of standard upgrades. Seats are extremely comfortable and driving position is great, even for me (6' 3")...not concerned with non-leather seating because the t-tec looks just as rich and feels great. One big gripe is the blind spot when back up or making a left-hand turn across traffice. I was able to position both the driver's and passenger's seat to keep it to a minimum, but definitely keep this in mind. 2.0T gets up and goes although there is a slight delay from idle. Flipping to sport mode fixes that and adds all new excitement to the overall experience (at the expense of gas mileage). One week into owning the car I took a 1200 mile road trip and highway driving/passing was a snap (32 MPG). Extremely quiet, wind and road noise was minimal...the frameless windows not only look cool, but they serve a purpose as well. Trunk space is not too bad and fits my golf clubs just fine. Seat releases in the trunk allow you to quickly fold down the rear seats without having to open the rear doors...nice touch. There is room for three in the back and this was a big plus in helping me "justify" this purchase with the Mrs (we have two little ones). Installing child seats was a real pain, because the seats are not flat. Once I got them in they seem to do just fine. Overall, I love the 2013 CC. It looks and acts like a car that costs 10K more and is the perfect blend of sport and practicality. Do not miss the BMW and do not regret this putchase one bit."

"My 2013 VW CC is 2nd VW ever, and my first since our 1996 VW Jetta TDI. So in a quest to potentially replace my 2007 BMW 525xi (6sp manual) with 150K with a new car (I mention potentially as I was so very apprehensive about giving up my fantastic 525xi), I came across the new 2012/2013 VW Passat participating in a test drive of various trim levels, transmissions, and engines, I noticed this beautiful little coupe sitting out front one evening. I asked the salesperson what this car was, and he indicated it was a "CC". I was very intrigued and asked to test drive that car. After waiting around for another 30 minutes for him to dig out one for me to test drive, I'm so glad I waited. Quite honestly, any feelings about letting go of my 525xi were quickly diminished within about 30 minutes of taking delivery of the car. The 2.0T is very strong, delivering that "German" level of linear power I'm used to. Plenty of torque on tap low, making it an excellent daily driver. Comfort, and convenience and looks exceeding my BMW quite easily. No real negatives per se, though I wish the breaking was a little stronger (of course I?m comparing directly to my BMW, though I?m sure once the pads and rotors break in it?ll improve greatly), and just getting used to the slight hesitation off of idle. This car is simply fantastic in almost every way in comparison to my BMW. I am so glad I purchased this vehicle. There?s no comparison between the CC, and the new 2012/2013 Passat either. They drive and feel different on the road. Whereas the Passat seems poised to take consumers from the typical Toyota, and Honda ?generic? vehicle, the CC to me is aimed for those requiring a little more than a ?just another daily driver? feel from their vehicle. Something only the BMW was able to provide to me previously. Quality abounds with this car!"

"Have to admit, we test drove a 2013 CC sport very impressive riding car. Even more we were given a 2012 CC rental while ours was getting ready to be delivered.. VERY big change from 2012 and 2013.. Ride very very smooth, Noise NONE! Gas Mileage 30 with the 2.0T and tons of power at all speeds. Like I say very impressive car. Better than all of the others we looked at in the 30K to 40K range and a lot more bang for your buck! Wish we would have went ahead and ordered the Sport Plus model, Like the 18" Rims Better.. All in All Best new car I have purchased to date!"
