"Its like buying a luxury car for the price of a standard car. It looks phenomenal and drives like a dream. I have the 2.0T engine, I find it making 34 MPG on long trips but when you put the accelerator down you know it has a turbo. The factory radio is actually among the best I have used. If you're looking for a good daily driver to rely on this is the car for you."

"I bought my Passat as a CPO 3 months ago. I haven't had any problems. I put over 10k miles on it already and it is a pleasure to drive. The AWD works flawlessly in snow or rain. Good power, smooth and QUIET ride and it turns better than my previous much smaller vehicle. If you are looking at SUV's but don't like the way they drive check this out. My only regret so far is that I didn't buy one sooner. The seats are comfortable and the key-matched memory is a nice feature. Some of the luxury items require reading the manual to use properly but they all work nicely once you figure out how. I love the power hatch and the large cargo space. There is an auto-stick feature but the 6-speed auto works so well I never use it. I have a heavy foot and still avg 26 mpg"

"I just bought this car and love the ride, comfort, power and handling. I chose it over and X-type Jag, CTS, I-35 and Charger. But the darn thing has had me in the shop 5 times on electrical gremlins. And I haven't made the 1st payment yet! I really want to love this car. it runs like a sport sedan should! But when you buy a Certified pre-owned car, these types of problems shouldn't happen. I had a corolla for 6 years and no issues period, I 'upgrade' to this? how is this right? I'm going back to Japanese cars."

"Never judge a book by its cover. This car looks great, but was terribly built and designed. The car is so bad that it was sold months after paying off the car loan. It cost me $5,000 in repairs the last 3 months that I owned it. While it was under warranty it was in the shop every other month for something. It has many different design defects that will not come out to the general public for another year or so. A lot of Passat owners are going to be VERY unhappy. I spent a lot of money on a car only to sell it because of its unreliability. My family has purchased 6 VWs in the past 10 years. We will never buy another VW again."

"I have 2007 VW Passat Wagon for two years and had two problems with warranty service.. My automatic trunk door stop working last year and I was waiting for part to arrive for two weeks. And now I am waiting for A/C compressor for two weeks and it did not arrive yet.I was driving for two weeks without A/C in August and they do not care. I had 4 VW in my life and next time I will buy something different with better service."

"Driving the 2.0t is a pleasure. Getting 24.5 to 27mpg on every tank, California driving. Its a sheep until you put the auto in sports mode and then push the gas. Now you have a euro sedan that handles with the best of them. The cruse control works great. I have the middle model it has many great options. Some things that could be improved . My car came with 16in wheels 18in would make the car look way better. needs garage door opener, and fog lights are very expensive to install if not standard with your car. One more thing I DO NOT LIKE IS you CANNOT turn off daytime running lights. Whats with that? I had a 540I This is not up to par with that, but its half the price and gets great performance and mpg. No toyota, honda, ford, nissan or chevy in this class are close to the features, performance or engeneering in this car."

"After 5500 miles with it (8800 km) I have nothing but good things to say about this vehicle. Driving it is a charm and a pleasure. On the highway, sorry to say but the faster the better. Even tried it at 130 MPH (225 km/h) and it still feels good, a bit of wind noise but hey, at that speed it is totally normal! I love the powerful taillight LEDs, my friends following the car were surprised by how bright they are. Can't miss them. The headlights are bright enough but the fog light don't show much of a difference. I have the 2.0T engine which I must say, feels like a V6 and more. 0-60 mph in 6 seconds!!! The absolute sport car in a comfortable environment. The interior is amazing, seat are very comfortable. I drove 13 hours non-stop with it and did not feel tired. The 6-cd radio has the most beautiful sound i've ever heard. The dash mixed with stainless colours and hardwood is a nice concept, especially when mixed with the VW blue and red lighting. The car has not been at the garage yet, no problems so far. German engineering made in Germany! I hope this helps."
