"I've owned 4 VW's over the past 7 years and this is VW's most complete "sports" car. I love it! The only downside imo is the lack of HP. They should have given the car 300hp to make up for the weight..."

"Smooth V6 engine with linear power delivery, outstanding grip and handling with AWD, addictive exhaust note, very high quality interior with high bolstered sets that really hug you and one of the very best steering wheels around at any price. Car has been very reliable (only the battery and a brake switch replaced in 48K). Small annoyances are the low location of the climate control, weak US stock headlights and the 'floaty' US stock suspension (lots of after market choices for these). All-in-all a fantastic performance car that I can comfortably commute in...and also enjoy out on a race track."

"I purchased this car new back in early 04 after waiting 8 months for it. It was well worth the wait. I put over 40k trouble free miles on it but the advent of children made me give this car up. I'm not going to go into the specifins of handling but it was great and higher quality tires made a significant improvement. I dinged the car one star on comfort and interior design. Comfort wise the seats and my bootie were not a seemeless fit. On the long drives my left leg would go to sleep, and it kind of pinched my thigh. I'm not overweight by anymeans I'm just tall and I'm a cyclist so my thighs are maybe a little big. But the seat held me inplace especially when hucking the car through the corners. The interior is awesome, fit and finish are better than cars twice the price but the aircon is too difficult to see, and takes too long to get set properly. Not ideal in a sports car. I also felt like the radio could be placed higher but that's really nitpicking. The performance of the car was amazing and the sound made by the exhaust is better than most Ferrari and Porsche. I added a Neuspeed race intake ($300) which gave the acceleration and throttle response a vast improvement. This car is definately rare and if you can find one get it and hold on to it for as long as you can."

"this car is a beast it is a smal car with alot of hustle to i got mine with a twin turbo kit and im pullin out 450 WHP!! v8 eater 0-60=3.1 seconds, but realy this car is a very nice car even to drive dayliy it will get you there and back and even have fun. if you have it tip take it out in about 1-2 inches of snow too much fun!!"
