Consumer Reviews
"My wife and I review several low-luxury cars for around 40k or less. Audi, Lexus, Benz, Lincoln. It turned out that either they were not worth the asking price or the basic features couldnt compare to the volvo s60. My wife loves the volvo and feels completely safe with no worries."

"Very nice well appointed ride. Opted for the T5. Engine has plenty of power and gives you a nice kick in the pants in sport mode. Handling is fine for entry level luxo sport sedan. Engine and transmission are quick. Seats are the best with great lumbar and thigh support. Interior is very high quality - a bit better than run of the mill Benz and way better than BMW - in line with Audi. Fit and finish rivals lexus. Styling is refreshing and everything seems to make ergonomic and functional sense. Nice infotainment system - sound is high end - Navi is easy to use. Blue tooth is apple flawless. Nice to have a car with zero initial quality issues - which is the norm with germans. Gas mileage is decent - 32 on HWY with little traffic - about 28 mixed on REGULAR. Premium does a little better and unleashes a bit more fun out engine. The car is a smart value for the money."

"I have been looking for a nice car that was below the 50K and that is when I considered test driving a S60 R-Design. I knew right away that this was a lot of machine for the price."

"This car has a rough ride and you do hear quite a bit of road noise. My worst complaint about the car is the radio which you can't change stations by pushing preset stations without going through a routine of pressing "radio", then "OK', then the radio station. Requires too much time for eyes to be off the road. Navigation: Many steps to get to just "go to address". Phone: Unable to say "dial whoever". Again, it requires more steps than it should. Takes 4-5 steps to get to my dial of a specific person. My next car will be Japanese again, at least the offer user friendly easy to use electronics."

"I love the new volvo S60. They aren't your old run of the mill volvo's anymore. I was told my car looks like a spaceship, while I don't think this is true the styling is edgy and pushes the conservative volvo boundaries. The performance of the vehicle is unbelievable. My previous cars are an S40 and an Impreza Sport. This car puts them to shame. The turbo is smooth but very quick (especially in sport mode). Not to mention it only takes 87 oct. gasoline. The seats are amazingly comfortable and the interior is quiet. All materials look and have a premium feel to them. My only beef with the car is the infotainment. There are lots of buttons and knobs, which aren't necessarily laid out intuitively. In my opinion it just seems sightly complicated, again, I have to stop and think sometimes when I want to carry out a stereo operation. Otherwise, the stereo is powerful and I liked the six months free sirius radio. The value compared to other brands is exceptional. If you were to get the car with just the premium package, the car comes with way more options than its competitors at a much much cheaper price tag. Throw in the scheduled maintenance and your looking at a great bargain. I leased my car. I basically have every option minus the navigation and I am still paying about 80$ less than an entry level BMW 3 series. Specifically for this car I cannot speak of the reliability because I've only had it for a month. I've owned a volvo in the past and never had anything wrong with it, and if I ever did it was replaced free of charge and I was given a loaner the entire time I was out of a car. I am very happy with my purchase. I would highly recommend the vehicle to anyone who is in the market for an entry sized luxury sedan. It's a great bargain and is a quality and AMAZINGLY SAFE vehicle(if you haven't seen the new IIHS small overlap test, google it, you'll be extremely surprised by the results)."

"One test drive of the 2012 ST60t5 sealed the deal. Now I have 9500 miles on the ODO and no complaints. The car is class leading with a high quality interior (a la B&O) and excellent fit and finish. The ride strikes a good balance between sporty and confortable on our poor LA roads and is quiet. Fuel economy is higher than stated averaging about 28 combined stop-n-go driving (reached 34mpg on long trip). Good acceleration that will get you noticed by CHP. Loads of features; navi and premium sound is really good. Voice rec is some of the best. The seats are best in business and erogonomics are class leading. It actually makes me look forward to the commute. Safety features are too numerous to list. Running on regular gas achieved stated performance and economy. This car offers a lot of value for the money and is what entry level luxury should be (it actually reaches beyond that). A nice change from the run of the mill beemers and benzes that charge you more but fail to deliver. All I have to do is supply gas and tires, volvo takes care of the rest. This is the smart choice."

"I bought my 2012 Volvo S60 at the same dealership I have purchased countless Audi's for years. I saw the bright red T6 R-Design in an adjacent showroom off o the Audi display. Seeing the loaded Volvo and dozen or so people circling it, I nearly passed it buy. Once I sat inside, became acquainted with its easy-to-operate features, examined its content and price, I arranged for a test drive in an Electric Silver Metallic model with off-black leather interior. This, too, was the top of the line R-Design model with Platinum trim package. The car was so impressive, I decided against the Audi A7 I loved and took home the even more exciting and far better equipped Passion Red base color All-Wheel-Drive S60 T6 (Turbo 6) R-Design Volvo that grabbed my attention. The highlights of Volvo ownership start with the best customer care center, top notch service, national clubs (I belong to one in the U.S. and another in Canada) promoting safety, green technology, innovative design and comfort. The Audi I nearly bought was striking, too, but a loaded A7 would have set me back roughly $70,000. There are less costly Audi's but I did not feel the kind of passion with any other car than the A7 4-door coupe and the curvaceous S60 sedan. My new Volvo is fast (unbelievably fast!) and secure, has outstanding handling and ride, is super comfortable with orthopedic designed seats that make traveling a sheer joy, even with my bad back. I was unable to stay in a car or any seated position for more than an hour without having to stretch out. There are no limits when it comes to all around comfort and safety with the Volvo, even for me to enter, exist and ride or drive for hours-on-end --bad back or not. There is more than ample room for four full-size adults, possibly five -- no opportunity to experience an additional passenger just yet. Trunk space is generous and there are useful cubbies throughout the vehicle. I strongly urge anyone looking for a luxery sports sedan or even a coupe to check out the 2012 or 2013 S60. My wife's 2010 Audi Q5 is due to be replaced in late July; thus, we are looking into purchasing a second Volvo. For even more room, added safety features and 9" of ground clearance, we are considering a '13 Volvo XC60 crossover type SUV. I hear great things about the XC60 T6 R-Design from fellow Volvo club members, neighbors and a guy at work. The XC60 T6 sounds like a nice alternative or in our case, an additional car with vast behind the seat storage. Until I research the more rugged variant of the AWD S60 T6, the XC60, I cannot say enough good things about my new sedan and security I feel owning it."
