"The Volvo V50 gives you a wagon with room, yet a smaller car so the advantages of good gas mileage. Around 33 mpg on the hwy and averages around 26+ in town. It has a very attractive appearance, and nice interior layout. It's also a very safe car with multiple airbag and although the small appearance, it weighs in around the same as a small SUV. It does ride low to the ground, so one has to be careful not to drive up on the concrete parking barriers when pulling into a parking lot. Overall we are thrilled with this vehicle and very happy with the purchase."

"Purchased a 2007 Volvo V50 T5 two months ago. Love driving and riding the car. Seats are comfortable and stereo is great. Easy to get child in and out of the back. Nice ride. Do not feel speed inside the car, have to watch the speedometer. Trunk is very spacious."

"My V50 has over 53,000 miles of mostly city driving with no problems so far. It has an average of 23 mpg. From the beginning it has been a very solid car with superb high speed stability and amazing brakes. Only the front shock absorbers and the rear brakes pads have been replaced. Besides that, it has been the regular maintenance as recommended by Volvo. The engine and transmission are still very smooth and strong. The front seats are comfortable and supportive. There are no strange sounds or squeaks in the interior or exterior of the vehicle. The textile seats get a little bit stained , but they can be cleaned easily."
