Ford Recalls More Than 1 Million Trucks and SUVs

Ford announced today it is recalling approximately 1.2 million 1994 - 2002 vehicles due to a faulty cruise-control switch that can cause fires. This is the second time Ford has had to issue a recall for this same problem in some of its most popular models.

The recall affects: 1994 - 2002 F-250, F-350, F-450 and F-550 trucks; 1994 - 96 Econoline vans; 1996 - 2002 E-450 trucks; 1998 Explorer and Mercury Mountaineer SUVs; and 2000 - 02 Excursion SUVs.

We recommend owners call their dealer and schedule a service appointment to address this problem as soon as possible.
