Officials in Sweden happily ushered in the first new car to move on a Saab production line since the automaker was sold to Spyker earlier this year. Dubbed 001, the first car is actually the all-new 2011 9-5. With production now starting up, it seems the model will hit its targeted summer on-sale date.

If you’re an auto-assembly junkie, there’s one other tidbit of note about how Saab builds its cars. The company assembles all of its models, so far just the 9-5 and 9-3, on the same production line.
