The topline version of BMW's 5 Series sedan may be thrillingly fast, but a vague shifter and numb clutch ruin some of the fun, says Cars.com reviewer Joe Bruzek. The manual is a no-cost option that Bruzek thinks shoppers should skip in favor of the seven-speed, dual-clutch automated manual, which Bruzek says is surprisingly fun to drive by comparison.
