The Volkswagen CrossBlue concept previews a midsize SUV positioned between Volkswagen's existing compact Tiguan and larger, off-road-capable Touareg. The six-seat CrossBlue has three rows of seating, and Volkswagen says a production version could seat up to seven with a bench in the second row instead of the concept’s individual seats.
Powering the concept is a plug-in hybrid powertrain with diesel engine and an estimated combined city/highway mileage of 35 mpg. Additional contemporary features include a 10.2-inch touch-screen, a 3-D display of navigation or media information, and a customizable instrument cluster. See more photos below.
