With the debut today of the RC F at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Lexus released a few more of the car's specs. Most are estimated, but they help give a picture of how the new performance coupe stacks up in the luxury sports-car segment. Notable specs include:

  • 5.0-liter V-8 engine makes more than 450 horsepower and 383 pounds-feet of torque
  • V-8 runs on an efficient Atkinson cycle at cruising speeds, switches to a conventional Otto cycle at higher rpm
  • Eight-speed automatic transmission
  • Torque-vectoring rear differential, a first for Lexus
  • Curb weight less than 3,968 pounds
  • 168-mph estimated top speed (electronically limited)
