2016 Land Rover Range Rover, Range Rover Sport: Recall Alert

Vehicles Affected: Approximately 790 model-year 2016 Land Rover Range Rover and Range Rover Sport SUVs previously recalled in May 2019

The Problem: A spring in the keyless vehicle latching system may get stuck, causing the left-hand door to remain unlatched when the door is closed. An unlatched door may open while the vehicle is in motion, increasing the risk of injury or a crash.

The Fix: Dealers will update the software and inspect the KV latches, replacing them if necessary, for free.

What Owners Should Do: Land Rover will begin notifying owners July 24. Owners can call the automaker at 800-637-6837, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
