2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio: Recall Alert

2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio

Vehicles Affected: Approximately 1,500 model-year 2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio SUVs

The Problem: The software for the wiper motor may incorrectly interpret the wiper motor as overheating, limiting the windshield wipers to operating only at the low-speed setting, which can reduce the driver's visibility and increase the risk of a crash.

The Fix: Dealers will replace the wiper motor for free.

What Owners Should Do: Alfa Romeo automaker Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will begin notifying owners April 25. Owners can call the automaker at 800-853-1403, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit NHTSA's website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
